Keep hearing this about podcasts and youtubers and I don't get it. Thinking that the people talking to a microphone or camera are your friends feels silly akin to thinking there's a tiny orchestra in the earphones that sings for you. I get that people are gullible and believe media personalities are always truthful, but surely they don't experience an actual friendship with people they've never seen?

Is this my version of "not having an inner momologue"?

If the implication is that the boy thinks he's really spending time with 3 icecream eating girls then I must disagree: podcasts make me feel exactly like that picture, not that boy.

edit: hmm it really depends on the podcast if that's a good thing or not

To me it feels not much different than listening to a radio talk show or a debate on TV.
