This was my 16 year old Foster son's takeaway from his convict mentor. His mentor went to prison, then he turned his life around and makes good money and has a family. My son decided that that meant it was an acceptable life trajectory... a good one even... to go to prison. That he could turn his life around without becoming a felon just didn't compute.

I'm gonna read this in the most charitable way cause I'm sure it was a joke. But the bar one must hurdle to address an addiction is infinitely harder than anything mentioned in the image. And then once a person is sober that bar needs to be cleared daily for a long time till it starts to get easier.
So yeah its a funny joke, but just in case you were being a smart ass, it's not easy to get sober.
