Perfect opportunity for the women's leagues to get together and release their own memo and go a step further by distancing themselves from sports betting sponsorships, et cetera.

The men's leagues basically said that they want the states to handle the consequences of the leagues' willingness to promote sports gambling.

Why would you not? It only bolsters your case

Backed by their unions, the NBA joined the NFL, NHL, MLS, and MLB in urging state regulators to address escalating threats of violence from bettors — without including any women’s leagues.

Jackson told Front Office Sports the omission was “deeply disappointing,” pointing to the “very public and troubling incidents of betting-related harassment experienced by our members.”
