Yep. Low-t is turning this country into a shithole country. Kind of ironic that low-t is calling other countries shitholes.

When this over, we should demolish Trump Tower, at his expense.

[-] some_designer_dude@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago

With his entire family and surviving lineage inside, ideally.

[-] Tower@lemmy.zip 9 points 1 day ago

if I can't have you, nobody will!

[-] Archangel1313@lemmy.ca 18 points 1 day ago

So is everyone just going to pretend like they think something's actually wrong with the building, and that this isn't just another one of Trump's self-indulgent vanity projects? I would love to see an independent inspector go through the building to determine whether or not Trump is full of shit. As usual.

[-] bertlewirth@lemy.lol 10 points 1 day ago

Yep. Couldn’t put his trashy name on it. So he’s going to demolish it.

[-] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 6 points 1 day ago

Take his ball and go home, or rather, take the other kid's ball, and go home.

[-] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

He cannot put his name on the other kid's sand castle, so he's going to kick over the sand castle and go home. Probably throw some ketchup on the walls.

[-] clanker_victim_555@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago

Or else what?

[-] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 33 points 1 day ago

What a ridiculous timeline we live in.

Tiny-d donnie has about a thousand other things that he should be focusing on to improve this country and instead of doing any of them, he does things to make it actively worse in addition to stupid distractions like trying to get his name on the Kennedy Center.

It's so incoherent, too - what the fuck does this bloated washed-up never-was have to do with the Kennedy Center? No one knows.

[-] shittydwarf@piefed.ca 21 points 1 day ago

Is he jealous of former presidents who had things named after them? The only thing going to be named after him are public toilets..

[-] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 6 points 1 day ago

I've said that when this over, we have to pass a Federal law making it illegal to name anything after Trump, except Sewage Treatment Plants. Then people who live nearby can say things like "Trump is particularly stinky today."

I'm totally serious.

Is he jealous of former presidents who had things named after them?

Yes. It's just that simple.

[-] stoy@lemmy.zip 11 points 1 day ago

That, combined with a complete lack of understanding the reasons why they got things named after them.

[-] BillyClark@piefed.social 4 points 1 day ago

Yeah, for one, the Kennedy Center is a memorial, and Trump doesn't meet the bare minimum requirement to have his name on a memorial.

[-] deadbeef79000 7 points 1 day ago

The toddler doesn't understand why that other child's parent gave them a lolipop and not him.

[-] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago

He's insanely jealous of Obama and I don't think Obama has anything named after him - yet.

[-] Thassodar@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 day ago

He did recently get museum but, to be clear, I'm just pointing that out. T may have to wait a decade past when he's long gone before some sycophant raises money for a building in his name.

[-] obvs@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

How about the trumps that are inside of the public toilets?

[-] GreyEyedGhost@piefed.ca 4 points 1 day ago

"I gotta go take a trump" needs to become a thing.

[-] Corkyskog@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 day ago

I think it will be when he dies.

[-] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

I already say that around my house. One of my kids has picked it up and says it sometimes, too.

[-] UsernamesAreForSuckers@lemmy.world 11 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Imagine the pettiest you have ever felt towards someone in your life - an X who hurt you, a friend who betrayed you, etc. Now imagine that is the drive behind your entire personality - pure narcissistic greed and envy. That’s who Trump is. Anyone who can’t or won’t aggrandize or flatter him is an enemy.

[-] MountingSuspicion@reddthat.com 1 points 1 day ago

Honestly, I'd rather he keep messing with things like the Kennedy center than try to "improve" anything else. Our country will survive the destruction of an art center, however sad it may be to lose. Other countries may not survive him trying to "improve" gas prices. I wish he focused on just domestic things, especially if they were all as stupid as this. If putting up an arch will keep him from contemplating nukes, then he can put up a new arch every month for all I care.

[-] obvs@lemmy.world 24 points 1 day ago

If you think he's not going to demolish the Kennedy Center, you're gonna have a bad time.

[-] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 3 points 1 day ago

Smash him with the wrecking ball instead.

[-] adarza@lemmy.ca 7 points 1 day ago

another court order that will, of course, be totally ignored with no consequences because scRotus immunity

[-] human@slrpnk.net 5 points 1 day ago

Instead of demolishing it he should sell it back to Congress. And since Congress already owns it, all proceeds of the sale go back to Congress, and then he can stay the fuck out of it.
