Intriguing! We now know that obesity is caused by sugary drinks (amongst others). Already back in 1954, the industry was aware of this issue… Sue them!
homeboy rizzin her up with the concertina
Interesting; the accordion was HUGE in 1954, only just starting to get replaced by the electric guitar, wonder why they went with this skimpy concertina instead.

I think I can make most of it out.
What do they feed on, these modern people, that makes men so trim looking, keeps women so slender yet so vital, so youthful, year after year?
The answer is all in their modern, sensible diet. In their taste for lighter, less filling foods and beverages.
Pepsi-Cola's greatest pride is that it has steadily followed this trend. Today's Pepsi is light, dry (not too sweet), reduced in calories.
Pepsi-Cola is the , the light refreshment. More popular now than ever because it refreshes without filling.
It comes in the familiar economy bottle that feeds two people, and the smaller, single-drink bottle, just right for one.
Refresh without filling. Have a Pepsi.
Pretty wild you could sell a sugary soft drink as weight maintenance back in the day!
At least if you go back far enough, it at least included cocaine.
thanks for going to the trouble to transcribe!
so basically 'tastes great, less filling'.
also, wondering why madison avenue felt the need to write a small pamphlet worth of copy to sell everything?
I've noticed it was even more so in the late 18 or early 1900s. You'd get ads that were essentially a menacing wall of text over an entire page, with maybe a tiny picture of the product if you were lucky. Like this one for Dr Strong's Compound Pills. Examples like that abound from that era.
Dr. Bronner's Soap bottles are like that still, but I'm not sure if it's legacy or retro.
That guy's lower body looks like it was drawn by AI.
I wonder what is in the blue bowl...
