I can't choose because I watched everything all the time, but Stanley Ipkis certainly stole a lot of my time.

Wishbone. It was a kids show about a dog who played the main character in classic stories

[-] JamesBoeing737MAX@sopuli.xyz 1 points 9 hours ago

I thought it might be air bud, since I'm not familiar with movies about dogs.

[-] zod000@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 1 day ago

Hard to say for sure, but I think this means that I am Serpentor from G.I. Joe. Could be worse.

Yep. Me too. Definitely not the version of gabby that was all peaceful tho.

[-] ExtraJudgement@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago

Ranma 1/2. Being able to switch between male and female body essentially at will would be great.

[-] Spezi@feddit.org 1 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

This was my first thought as well. Not quite at will though.

[-] ExtraJudgement@lemmy.world 1 points 23 hours ago

Well, I'm assuming the comically timed cold and hot water events aren't actually part of the curse, but the Manga/Anime format. So, technically not at will; but so far I've had virtually 100% control over when I'm submerged in enough water, so that's why "essentially".

Is this an I Saw The TV Glow reference? Great movie!

[-] RedAggroBest@lemmy.world 11 points 1 day ago

This movie just recently dragged me kicking and screaming from the closet lol

[-] Manalith@midwest.social 6 points 1 day ago

So we're looking at Ben 10, Danny Phantom, a character from The Last Airbender, a Digidestined, or one of the kids from Code Lyoko. I feel like I win no matter what.

I don't want to live in the world of ReBoot, NOOOO BOB NOOOO!

[-] captain_oni@lemmy.blahaj.zone 26 points 2 days ago

I get a cute gf, a best friend that always invites me places, and I even get to go home and pet my dog. Oh, and also cartoon powers, and super speed.

That's the life.

I'm Leo the blue leader of the ninja turtles?! Or the "injured turtles" as my speech impediment would say.

Fuck yeah.

Weirdly it's always been clear to me, even as a tyke, that even best case scenario, full fantasy, I'm a total Donatello. But that Raphael energy, oof. So dope even my wildest childhood fantasies couldn't get me there hahahaha. Wait, ouch. Idk how to feel. Ninja turtles rock.

Moderator Guidelines

Moderator Guidelines

  • Don’t be mean to users. Be gentle or neutral.
  • Most moderator actions which have a modlog message should include your username.
  • When in doubt about whether or not a user is problematic, send them a DM.
  • Don’t waste time debating/arguing with problematic users.
  • Assume the best, but don’t tolerate sealioning/just asking questions/concern trolling.
  • Ask another mod to take over cases you struggle with, if you get tired, or when things get personal.
  • Ask the other mods for advice when things get complicated.
  • Share everything you do in the mod matrix, both so several mods aren't unknowingly handling the same issues, but also so you can receive feedback on what you intend to do.
  • Don't rush mod actions. If a case doesn't need to be handled right away, consider taking a short break before getting to it. This is to say, cool down and make room for feedback.
  • Don’t perform too much moderation in the comments, except if you want a verdict to be public or to ask people to dial a convo down/stop. Single comment warnings are okay.
  • Send users concise DMs about verdicts about them, such as bans etc, except in cases where it is clear we don’t want them at all, such as obvious transphobes. No need to notify someone they haven’t been banned of course.
  • Explain to a user why their behavior is problematic and how it is distressing others rather than engage with whatever they are saying. Ask them to avoid this in the future and send them packing if they do not comply.
  • First warn users, then temp ban them, then finally perma ban them when they break the rules or act inappropriately. Skip steps if necessary.
  • Use neutral statements like “this statement can be considered transphobic” rather than “you are being transphobic”.
  • No large decisions or actions without community input (polls or meta posts f.ex.).
  • Large internal decisions (such as ousting a mod) might require a vote, needing more than 50% of the votes to pass. Also consider asking the community for feedback.
  • Remember you are a voluntary moderator. You don’t get paid. Take a break when you need one. Perhaps ask another moderator to step in if necessary.
