Has anybody ever actually seen someone wearing a Che Guevara T-shirt in the last 20 years? This is such a boomer meme.
I’ve got a Weird Al shirt that everyone confuses for one.
The revolution freed the slaves in Cuba, ended its colonialism by the US, provided free medicine and education for every citizen, reformed land so there were no big landlords any longer, created vast amounts of infrastructure in rural areas that did not have any before this, and much, much more. The ones killed by the revolution were the fascists in the Batista regime. Marxism-Leninism is the ideology of the liberation of the working classes around the world.
You are absolutely correct--while this will probably be buried among all the other replies, I want to share the video essay by overzealots that confronts the liberal media's propaganda/disinformation campaign surrounding the Cuban revolution.

Cuba has more doctors per sq. inch than another country in NA. Everybody in Cuba is highly educated despite it being a place where not the smartest people vacation to. Only reason Cuba is not an economic power house is because of the embargo that's been going on for 50 years.

indeed. the biggest reason socialism fails is because capitalists keep kneecaping it, not because its a flawed system.
The narrative that socialism has always failed is also wrong, too. Cuba is doing far better than they would have for its people had it remained a sugar colony. China is quickly advancing to the top of the world stage. Socialism does work, despite siege, even if it would do better without it.

I know he was a very violent revolutionary, but do you have sources for him specifically targeting any of those people/groups? I know he oversaw the execution of a lot of people from the Batista government, but hadn't heard of any specific targeting based on race, sexual orientation, or jobs.
