I'm for this, but I just want to make something clear...

They SHOULD HAVE investigated him BEFORE this term. You know.. right after he incited a riot and was trying to overturn election results? Something someone like me or you here would've been thrown into jail immediately upon getting found out?

That was your real time to shine, you fucking idiots.

oh shit, they're hitting him with an investigation. it's happening guys

[-] Malica@lemmy.zip 3 points 1 day ago

Maybe we'll get another letter!

[-] rockSlayer@lemmy.blahaj.zone 6 points 2 days ago

Does this mean Mitch is dead?

[-] silence7@slrpnk.net 4 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

They wheeled a wax dummy into the Senate and pretend.

That's why he hasn't done an interview

[-] just2look@lemmy.zip 28 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

What is there to investigate? They are Trump political ads that say right on them that they are funded by the US government.

[-] Cethin@lemmy.zip 3 points 1 day ago

It's still obvious, but they need to prove a connection with Trump himself. It's possible (almost certainly not the case, because this is Trump we're talking about, but they still have to prove it) that he didn't order this and they were made without his knowledge.

They could just impeach him, but they don't have control of Congress, and I doubt Republicans would go for that right now.

Just one more Injunction bro. Please. It'll stop them after the damage is already done, but bro, I need another Injunction. Can we just do one more and see? Just one more bro. JUST ONE MORE INJUNCTION BRO!1!!11!

If they aren't vowing to investigate 100 crimes — from P2025, Musk & DOGE, the plane, the ballroom, the technofash bribes, to bombing a girls school — the entire concept of America is already dead and 6ft under.

[-] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 9 points 2 days ago

Yes, they should just vow to add it to the list.

Also, when they are talking to donnie apparatchiks that are obviously being accomplices, it should be made clear they are implicated in that list.

[-] Pratai@piefed.ca 7 points 2 days ago

Like all the other things they swore to investigate him on for over the last decade?

Let’s all collectively hold our breath….

[-] Fishnoodle@lemmy.world 10 points 2 days ago

Put a bounty on him

[-] chronicledmonocle@lemmy.world 6 points 2 days ago

I'm sure after 6 months, the midterms being over, and them controlling both the house and senate, they'll make sure to send a strongly worded email telling Trump not to do it again.

[-] FuglyDuck@lemmy.world 4 points 2 days ago

perish the thought of doing the actual work holding them to account

[-] Almacca@aussie.zone 1 points 1 day ago

But that would be partisan politics, which Republicans will moan incessantly about, and which obviously none of them would ever do themselves. :|

[-] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 6 points 2 days ago

They should vow to investigate a whole laundry list of items if they get any kind of power at all.

And they need to make sure to broadcast to Americans why they are doing it. Too many reactionary centrists and Murc's Law Media dipshits will try to cast any consequences for cons as being frivolous.

[-] FuglyDuck@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago

why wait? they can always start the investigation.

not like the GOP are hiding anything.

[-] BigMacHole@thelemmy.club 3 points 2 days ago

Good! HEARING them on TV and READING the Letters they Send is going to CALM my NERVES and make me WANT to Vote for ~Do-Nothing~~ Democrats this Midtermm!

[-] Yuccagnocchiyaki@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago

Hakeem is secretly meeting with Jared Kushner behind the scenes.

AIPAC Dems are funding AIPAC Republicans campaigns over progressive left candidates.

Tammy duckworth said that Democrats should t be "impeaching nobody" and maybe we can work WITH the sociopathic, traitorous, pedophilic, war crime commiting rapists.

The Dems aren't going to do any real punishments to anyone. Just a bunch of yelling clips on cspan
