Dream date imo. As long as I too get 25 minutes for blathering about my latest rabbit hole.

Yea I think this is where a lot of adhders slip up. You gotta make space to listen to their loredumps if you expect them to sit and listen to your loredumps

I love when people loredump. After they've said their piece, I usually have to tell them I have absolutely no idea what they're talking about since I'm not part of that particular niche Fandom but by all means keep telling me things about it.

No, I don't know anything about sailor moon, but please do continue talking about it, because you clearly enjoy it and you're making me enjoy it if only for 20 minutes. (also that thing you said reminded me of something from stargate sg-1 so pls listen to that later and then we can compare the two)

I'm a big proponent of "showing your weird" -- I've always liked weird people because they don't appear to be hiding anything, whereas people who seem "perfect" are often too good to be true, and are fucked up in a way they have to hide.

I've had success showing my weird; it weeds out those who would not want me, and that prevents wasted time and energy on something thatd never work.

A long time ago at a Halloween house party, a pretty girl monologued at me for over a half hour about sleeve length in medieval dresses, separated by separate time periods and regions. We're married now.

Only logical answer is that she was actually about 8 stories tall and a crustacean from the Paleolithic era.

so why do they put sea monsters?

Depends on the map, time, culture, and location depicted. Often they are just decorative but sometimes, especially when depicted in streams, near coastlines, and in bays/harbors they denote nonvisible underwater obstacles that could harm your ship. They can also denote particularly harsh waters and ship graveyards.

Letting yourself out & loud like that is probably a great time & mental energy saver - if they can't at least find your quirks charming, then why waste any more time with them?

Never tell them they don't exist, not on the first date at least
