Holy hell this is cool
I mean, Ralph Steadman is known to have hanged out with the coolest man in US history, Hunter S. Thompson. 'The Kentucky Derby Is Decadent and Depraved' is a story of them getting thoroughly shitfaced together at the aforementioned sporting event, when Steadman was just assigned as the illustrator to Thompson's ramblings.
Also btw, Steadman draws mostly on poster-sized paper, and I assume the Slash pic must've been done about the same way.
God the bat country one is even fucking cooler
By the way, I once asked a proper known artist as to why they have to learn drawing geometric figures when Ralph Steadman exists with his wonky art, and the reply was that Steadman's surety is that of a truck driver with thirty years of experience under their belt.
