I had a chance to live in Riyadh when COVID lifted. They waved more money than i've ever seen in front of me, but i'm so glad i decided against it. I would rather be poor and here, than be rich there.
I sometimes kick myself for not taking those offers when they were available to me. It was usually Dubai then Riyadh but I always preferred to work from Lebanon for less money and just get flown in when I’m needed. But over a few years it adds up and my original goal of moving westward seems more difficult now especially with the anti immigration sentiments really picking up in places I’d think of moving to (US/Canada/UK/France/Ireland + a rotating sporadic cast of options)
Only seems fair after they bombed a Yemeni airport.
Maybe just ask for UN intervention if you can't allow a competent army to exist.
