Damn. That's true, especially considering I was really considering just ending it last October, waiting for HRT for so damn long.
I guess...I am doing better. We lived girlie. And we even have tits now 💜

Idk, I feel like I've just kinda stalled for a year and not really progressed anywhere... Maybe next year...

Not to just throw negativity on a positive post though! Happy for everyone who has/is progressing! ❤️

Last October I fucking kid you not, I had a ghost in my home & after approximately the 7th time it messed with me & I definitely caught on to the shenanigans, I firmly respectfully verbally told it to leave. And it apparently obeyed, because the shenanigans ended. I'm so proud of me. And oh, this post is actually about tits?

Wow, ghost tamer over here. That's actually really neat! Con...grats? I think? Respectable either way

And oh, this post is actually about tits?

No...but now it is!

Enjoy my flat af chest 😭

If the man I was a few Octobers ago could sit down with the woman I am this October, he would try to finger me

[-] ShadowOfMiisha@lemmy.blahaj.zone 13 points 3 days ago

Oh god...
I know for a fact mine wouldn't, but...I'm pretty sure I'd get ogled out of pure curiosity 😆 /s

Most trans people don't feel like their gender changed, only their presentation and legal status did... This is an interesting perspective and you may consider yourself genderfluid.

Oh this is called making a joke, an attempt at humor not a request for diagnosis but thank you for supporting trans folks

[-] ChaoticNeutralCzech@feddit.org 5 points 3 days ago

Well, since most people I know IRL don't know that "she used to be a man" is considered inaccurate or hurtful by many, I try to spread awareness... I was pretty sure you were aware but I can't detect jokes very well so I figured it's best to just make you feel affirmed and inform others.

Good looking out. I think the distinction that can be made here (that I believe you identified) is that I was putting this on myself and not bearing having it put upon me.

to me the joke flowed better when mimicking the pattern of the meme vs trying to be accurate to reality though. I also wouldn’t randomly try to finger a girl in my past life!

edit: on further reflection I think you were probably right to call this out, even though I was being toxic to myself any trans folks reading it, including me, can only benefit from reaffirming that who we are is intrinsic and not a surface level transformation so please take my ‘good looking out’ from the heart 💕 sorry for being prickly

If the woman I was last October saw the woman I am this October she'd be not at all surprised. I'm out of my most recent chaotic life change, and am old enough stability looks like just slowly pursuing goals over years.

My wife on the other hand has changed a lot for the better this past year. She's finally in form of trauma therapy that's doing serious good for her

The woman I was last October would wonder why I haven't continued my comic, ah shit, we're still fucking tired all the time, aren't we? Oh it's actually slightly worse? Yay ...

No, it doesn't always get better. Thanks a lot for reminding me.

Edit: I apologise. I'm happy for you, OP, truly. These kinds of posts are important for many people but for some they do the opposite of what they're meant to do and sometimes it gets frustrating.

I'm sorry...that really wasn't my intention. Even tho, I won't blame anyone for questioning my intentions after my last post...
Still, I'm sorry.

If I were to sit down with the girl I was last October we would fuck.

nah, she'd be disappointed and motivated to be better than i am

If the person from last October would see me now they'd see it just goes further downhill and… well, feel empty and shitty as always.

Moderator Guidelines

  • Don’t be mean to users. Be gentle or neutral.
  • Most moderator actions which have a modlog message should include your username.
  • When in doubt about whether or not a user is problematic, send them a DM.
  • Don’t waste time debating/arguing with problematic users.
  • Assume the best, but don’t tolerate sealioning/just asking questions/concern trolling.
  • Ask another mod to take over cases you struggle with, if you get tired, or when things get personal.
  • Ask the other mods for advice when things get complicated.
  • Share everything you do in the mod matrix, both so several mods aren't unknowingly handling the same issues, but also so you can receive feedback on what you intend to do.
  • Don't rush mod actions. If a case doesn't need to be handled right away, consider taking a short break before getting to it. This is to say, cool down and make room for feedback.
  • Don’t perform too much moderation in the comments, except if you want a verdict to be public or to ask people to dial a convo down/stop. Single comment warnings are okay.
  • Send users concise DMs about verdicts about them, such as bans etc, except in cases where it is clear we don’t want them at all, such as obvious transphobes. No need to notify someone they haven’t been banned of course.
  • Explain to a user why their behavior is problematic and how it is distressing others rather than engage with whatever they are saying. Ask them to avoid this in the future and send them packing if they do not comply.
  • First warn users, then temp ban them, then finally perma ban them when they break the rules or act inappropriately. Skip steps if necessary.
  • Use neutral statements like “this statement can be considered transphobic” rather than “you are being transphobic”.
  • No large decisions or actions without community input (polls or meta posts f.ex.).
  • Large internal decisions (such as ousting a mod) might require a vote, needing more than 50% of the votes to pass. Also consider asking the community for feedback.
  • Remember you are a voluntary moderator. You don’t get paid. Take a break when you need one. Perhaps ask another moderator to step in if necessary.
