The civil rights movement, segregation, Rosa Parks are all things that are often taught on the UK school curriculum, well they used to be, not sure about the last 25 years. A 40 year old person who has even a modicum of historical intelligence should know who Rosa Parks is (and by extension) everyone should really. There shouldn't be any questioning it. Also, if someone was unsure I'm certain 5 seconds searching it would help them.
There are some things people SHOULD absolutely know. To not is just ignorance and in this case, part of the problem. Its like we are giving excuses to people for lack of knowledge. Sorry, that may seem harsh, but its the way I feel.

As you've said, she's a civil rights icon, so it's pretty reductive to make a porn joke about her, especially when that... doesn't really riff off anything specific about her. If it was at least a joke about "Harriet Tubman getting railed" (which would still be in poor taste) or something, you could call it dark humour, but the joke you shared is essentially "hehe girl nekkid" targeted at Rosa Parks. It honestly wouldn't surprise me if the person who had that username was a racist and being dismissive of Rosa Parks intentionally. Probably not, I know how multiplayer lobbies can be, but it's not a good look regardless.
He clearly knew who she was, he told you when he asked for clarification, and the timestamps suggest he didn't have to look it up either. To be overly blunt, you don't look the brightest that you're so confident he's an idiot for giving you the benefit of a doubt, when if you'd given him the benefit of a doubt, you wouldn't be publicly embarrassing yourself trying to shame your friend. I'd assume that's the cause of nearly every downvote you've received on this post.

There is no joke, its that my friend wasnt sure who Rosa Parks was and what Only Fans is. I can forgive not knowing what Only Fans is, but everyone should know who Rosa Parks is.

Well, would this joke have worked as Malcolm X's Only Fans? Would anybody have bothered to message a friend to share that Warpigs username? There's no connection to what Parks is known for, no parody or subversion of expectations, other than the transgression of presenting a respected, famous person as a low-status sex worker. And it only works for a woman.
(OTOH, Henry Kissinger's Only Fans might work based on the incongruity of anybody thinking of such a ghoul in a sexual context.)
Some people are just dense
Most people are self-centered (which makes sense... to a point), & often don't much care about things that don't directly affect them - it's just the degree to which they are like this that varies. Now you know just how bad your "mate" is in that regard.
Not understanding a joke and not being sure about only fans are not traits i would describe as self centered. Sex jokes about historical figures may be funny if your are into that humour but if you have never encountered it yet they are quite strange.
