All they know how to do is project

[-] skozzii@lemmy.ca 12 points 19 hours ago

They were just literally responsible for a referundum vote on Alberta seperation from Canada. They arent hiding the fact they had discussions and provided financial help to the seperatists and made commitments of support, and then they have the balls to say we are interfering?

What is wrong with America? Get your damn country in order.

it's called deflection, and offender-victim reversal. he simply learns from his buddy

We’re stupid

[-] Smoogs@lemmy.world 1 points 9 hours ago* (last edited 9 hours ago)

stop cuckholding and get a grip. learn how to vote properly. just pretend like youre a canadian and less stupid.

So you're telling me the person who...

  • Recently had his administration hack a voting machine

  • Desperately tried to force the SAVE act which would all but strip away voting rights

  • Tried to meddle with the USPS so much to invalidate mail in ballots...despite himself voting by mail for florida primaries

  • Is actively arresting "suspected" non-citizens in blue states who were born in the US

  • Has openly leaked potential for martial law to suspend elections

  • More leaked information about deploying iSSe to voting locations

...is accusing Canada of interfering in US elections?

[-] btsax@reddthat.com 13 points 1 day ago

The Supreme Court ruled in Trump v US that anything that the President does while in office as an official act he has absolute immunity from, and that specifically includes insurrection against the government, as long as he believes it's in the best interest of the United States.

So, under US law (I'm not exaggerating) those things are all legal.

[-] chiliedogg@lemmy.world 8 points 23 hours ago

It did not include the insurrection, which is why the case was never dismissed by the Court.

One of the most damning pieces of evidence that's rarely discussed is that Trump had his personal and campaign lawyers in the meetings surrounding the attempt to change the election, but specifically excluded the official White House counsel. That means he was acting as Candidate Trump and not President Trump.

Hacking a voting machine isn't a big deal on its own; it's just penetration testing.

The problem is the order to not share any vulnerabilities that are found.

[-] rayyy@piefed.social 45 points 1 day ago

Translation: The US is doing it's damndest to interfere with Canada's elections.

[-] Dead_or_Alive@lemmy.world 4 points 19 hours ago

Every Republican accusation, is an admission.

[-] Zedstrian@sopuli.xyz 142 points 1 day ago

After Argentina, Hungary, Colombia, Brazil, and Alberta, that's rich.

US accusing someone of election interference is THE definition of hypocracy.

[-] dizzle18@lemmy.zip 16 points 1 day ago

So…Elon must be having trouble trying to rig the vote again, isn’t he?

[-] melsaskca@lemmy.ca 22 points 1 day ago

I'm Canadian and you Americans shouldn't vote for trump, or his ilk. Is that interference?

[-] Denfa@lemmy.world 2 points 18 hours ago

Goddammit, now I’ve been unduly influenced

[-] JustPlainDave@lemmy.zip 10 points 1 day ago

I'm American and agree that nobody should vote for Trump or anyone he endorses or any Republican for that matter. Guess I'm also interfering with the election.

[-] NonconfrontationaI@lemmy.ml 6 points 1 day ago

He should have been executed when he, ya know, tried to coup the government, lol.

[-] apudgypanda@lemmy.zip 4 points 23 hours ago

He's a treasonous raping pedophile that attempted a coup. Yeah he should have been put in prison for life or executed, but unfortunately 1/3rd of the US population has no critical thinking skills, and a burning hatred for anyone who doesn't think like them (bigoted, racist, selfish, you get the idea). then another 3rd is entirely complacent and thinks politics are not their problem.

You guys get to watch the failure of a massive superpower in real time.

I get to get caught up in it all and likely thrown into the equivalent of a gulag because i openly express disgust and act against these fuckers. Already have had multiple shady black vans with no plates watching my home.

Least I'll die knowing I tried my best, and was on the correct side of things

[-] NonconfrontationaI@lemmy.ml 2 points 19 hours ago

It was inevitable, the history of your country is written in the blood of the innocent. Get out while you still can if you aren't a white Christian nationalist.

Canada isn't interfering with US elections, they're interfering with the orange pedo's interference of US elections

[-] usernamefactory@lemmy.ca 18 points 1 day ago

Not even. Literally all we're doing is responding in kind to tariffs. If that influences an election, it's entirely Trump's fault for initiating an unpopular trade war.

[-] Insekticus@aussie.zone 90 points 1 day ago

Man, America has gone so far off the deep end...

Always an oppurtunity to place this in majority of the pedophiles headlines.

Its kind of sad that this image is so applicable to everything he does that any Trump article its posted in it receives many upvotes.

Epstein, Cohn and Trump, pieces of shit sticking together.

[-] ironhydroxide@sh.itjust.works 10 points 1 day ago

If everyone around you is an asshole, you're actually the asshole.

If everyone around you is "influencing elections", maybe you are the one doing the influencing.

[-] cronenthal@discuss.tchncs.de 51 points 1 day ago

I sometimes feel like the rest of the free world is not ready to face the disturbing reality of the new US quite yet. I said it before and I stand by it: Europe has to prepare for war with America.

[-] eestileib@sh.itjust.works 24 points 1 day ago

Shit, you think Europe has to prepare? I live in Canada...

Hey Mr Trump:

You mean the US where the FBI director is a conspiracist youtuber, the head of the army a host on fox news, and the attorney general a personal lawyer of the pedophile president?

[-] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 27 points 1 day ago

and ignoring russian interference, of course.

It is always projection when it comes to autocrats like Trump and Putin.

[-] Treczoks@lemmy.world 26 points 1 day ago

Projecting again? Americas worst enemy sits inside the borders, not outside. And id does not consist of illegal aliens or immigrants, either.

[-] MrNesser@lemmy.world 12 points 1 day ago

US has habitually interferered with elections around the world.

This is a man shouts at sky that it shouldnt be blue moment

[-] metermatic26@lemmy.world 1 points 18 hours ago* (last edited 17 hours ago)

The real question is, is Trump going to:

A. Refuse to acknowledge his defeat, pointing to non-existent foreign meddling.

B. Use the election results as an excuse to re-ignite his trade war with Canada…

C. Rage against the Democrats for being sorry losers, against the gouverneurs for not investigating the obvious fraud, and against Europe and NATO for, I don’t know..,’reasons’

D. All of the above
