Democrats just dropped a heavy hammer on the president, eight days out from Election Day. House Judiciary Committee Democrats released a 50-page report Monday morning accusing Donald Trump of participating in Jeffrey Epstein’s criminal sex schemes. The caucus also accused the Trump administration of a broad cover-up, designed to shield the president from blowback as they tried to roll out the release of the Epstein files to the general public. The report cites the experiences of 11 women, FBI records, and d...

Ok. Now do something about it.

Trumpets are not going to read it, or believe anything from it. They believe it's all lies, like the ones they tell about people they don't like.

History will look back at this timeline and teach the future generations that the war on Iran was started because the US president at the time was trying to distract people and cover up the Epstein files. History has unfolded as it did because of vanity of corrupt, pedophiles!

Edit: wording

we make the same mistake every generation does and that is: taking religious people seriously.

This will lead to impeachment and removal from office, right?

Right?

Dems waiting to do this until now, fuckin shitheads, but I hope they win

My experience of the US electorate makes me think doing it at a moment it doesn't influence any outcome is pointless.

They probably didn't want the outrage to ebb off until the elections.

It's definitely a good thing, but how bout the push for the release of more files. It's against the law to keep them hidden... The dems can litterally get people obstructing the release locked up or fined... How bout they do that....?

Only if they take the majority ... VOTE!

[-] mydude@lemmy.world -2 points 8 hours ago

I feel like I've seen this one before... They got the majority, but still come up one vote short... Everyberg Singlestein Timeowitz...

All ready to be completely ignored by the media.

Where were the Epstein files the 4 years Biden was president? Why weren't they all released then? Or at the very least some of them? I won't hold my breath on the Dems ever doing more than posturing about this. When they get back in power suddenly they'll find an excuse not to release them all.

Yeah I've seen that but I've also seen in the files how apparently theres a bunch of rich co-conspirators that were never charged during that investigation. So I don't really buy the excuse. I think both of the US parties are implicated and so it's always going to be the one out of power talking about it. And they'll never actually release everything.
