Nah, that's a rookie number. You gotta pump that number up to 69420. 😎
You mean 80085
You wrote 8008135 wrong.
I'm pretty sure if was 5318008, then flip the calculator upside down.
Not just the top entry. The entire 'General Ideas' category is flooded with "replace your leadership team" feedback.

Give Andy Yen a re-interview by Proton Customers and see if he passes
This one stood out to me.
9 of the top 10 are about removing him. Legendary.
That number has risen to 15. Legendary indeed.
Am I out of touch? No, it's the customers who are wrong!
His tweets are why I stopped paying for proton
His tweets are why I decided to not start paying for Proton
These comments about his tweets are why I won’t pay for Proton.
I'd never pay for email because I'm poor. But if I was less poor, these tweets would be why I didn't pay for Proton.
What are you using now?
A mix between ente photos and tuta.
I am still trying to de-Google myself, and I still use Proton I just don't pay for it.
Already moving important emails to Tuta. It'll be hard for them to earn back my trust knowing some shitty CEO can come in and fuck things up
Just great, I moved everything over about a year aggo and now I gotta do it all over again. Thanks Yen, good job you moron.
Switch to using 1 or more custom domains and only use FOSS software that can be backed up (encrypted) to any cloud. No corpo can ever be trusted long term.
Criminals gonna do crime, and under our late stage fascist kleptocracies, the criminals run the entire show.
they give the police any ip address they ask for without even a warrant
source?
This weekend, news broke that security/privacy-focused anonymous email service ProtonMail turned over a French climate activist’s IP address and browser fingerprint to Swiss authorities. This move seemingly ran counter to the well-known service’s policies, which as recently as last week stated that “by default, we do not keep any IP logs which can be linked to your anonymous email account.”

Time to migrate everything to my Tuta account. Been a customer of Proton for years but won't tolerate this.
I'm the same. I am a paying proton customer, but won't renew in march. Already got myself a legend Tuta account and will self host my password manager. Fuck this Andy
Wasn't tuta also doing this?
He's the reason I left my grandfathered all-access Proton account behind and moved to Tuta, Mullvad, etc.
fyi mullvad ain't doing so hot right now either. not to mention their adversity to p2p.
FML.
Any recommendations for alternatives that are equally in-memory only and logging-light?
I am interested in this too. I've heard mixed things about IVPN but that seems to be the main alternative.
what mixed things?
Primarily about performance and reliability. I blanket my network in a VPN, if I can’t reliably get my usual speeds that’d be discouraging.
I've been using AirVPN, and have been pretty happy with them. It would be nice if they had a browser extension, but the desktop client works fine, and the have clients for all the OSes.
Could be that someone used an AI to post and upvote them.
I would bet real money that Proton as a service will not be affected by this in any significant fashion.
Just voted!
Gonna try and vote with all my accounts, thanks for this!
Is this just about the recent pivot to AI or is there other stuff?
I love the energy, but avoiding AI products is going to be tough.
I do my best to avoid fascist techlords products but that's not easy either.
he was calling devs that wanted to security test new features before release, slow losers. An odd stance for a company that sells based on its security reputation
Calling his staff losers, reevaluating employees based on AI stance, and supporting comments of Trump and Republicans.
They also partnered with a Swiss university that collaborates with Israeli military, and prosecuted students for protesting against the genocide in Palestine.
For the AI part, they are also re interviewing a lot of employees and basically will fire anyone not token maxing
What do you mean by prosecuting students ?
