With the Stephen Miller appointment, it should be abundantly clear what is coming next... we got a win at the midterms, but the White House is going to double down on Fascism. Schumer and Jeffries are ill-equipped for this fight.

Go to the pasture.

Legal Eagle put out an excellent video on the subject of we need to pursue every avenue, every method of gathering and publishing information showing what this regime did, will do, so it is at least a matter of public record. So that if the Dems gain more control over politics in 2029 that they can be persecuted and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Not doing so will just lead us back here again and again and again.

The Dems won because people rejected Trump. Not because people are happy with the DNC. The DNC was actually more unpopular as a whole than the GOP. Progressives crushed it, even in places where they shouldn't have. Plus with the Michigan lady betrayal, it shows that AIPAC money takes precedent over US needs....again. anyone taking AIPAC money should not be in a leadership role as they don't value Americans first.

Us dwarves up in the far North have a saying: forge while the iron is hot. Now is the time to send useless idiots into retirement, and criminals into the slammer.

Yep, no-bias house cleaning. If you suck and you're not a vacuum cleaner, you've gotta go! Democrat, Republican, MAGA, Libertarian, Whig, Communist, or otherwise. The age of do-nothing-Democrats is coming to an end. Now we've gotta make progress.

Yes please!

They do need to go. Their goal is status quo and treading water.

I agree with some of the new folks who feel like impeachment shouldn't be the goal. It's too limited. Accountability and legislation need to be the goals. Impeachment is a subset of that. So is going on a press tour rager when legislation is blocked or vetoed.

Democrats need to wake up and bring the Republicans to bear and fight for the people who elected them. Treading water and whining about Ted Cruz reading Cat in the Hat don't get us there. Make him stand there until he dies of dehydration. Tear them down in a public forum. Do something.

Honestly, I think we should refer some war crimes to the International Criminal Court. Germany went through de-nazification and even that didn't go perfectly. A lot of people slid under the radar and remained lurking at the edges of power.

I agree that we need to BOTH set firm standards for the future and prosecute the crimes of the past. Part of that, and the part the Democrats hate, is that the Democratic party needs to function... more democratically. No more brokering backroom deals to suppress progressive challengers (that means you Debbie Wassermann-Schultz), no AIPAC money, no felating tech bros.

That's brilliant. Hand over Hegseth and Miller and Noem, and Mullin and Homan and others to that court for trial and justice.

As someone who has absolutely 0 belief in Bourgoise Democracy I'll tell you what I think will happen: They'll put up some sacrificial lambs like that lady who was the greek ambassador and Lauren Bobert and a few other mid level crooks. They'll bring them into congress and grill them and then maybe they get 10 years in prison max. More likely some fines and stuff. Trump will probably pardon anyone who is going to see real consequences. They'll then take their money and run. Dems will control the White House and both chambers of congress after 2028, but they won't pass public healthcare, or anything else like that. They'll do some minor reforms and maybe a public option that will become a permanent battle every single budget hearing. By 2030 midterms there will be a snapback and "Red Wave".

As for the foreign policy stuff I didn't mention it because to quote Biden, "Nothing will fundamentally change."

I hope I'm proven wrong. I really do.

[-] Reddfugee42@lemmy.world 7 points 20 hours ago

That's exactly what will happen if we don't completely replace leadership starting with these two.

Schumer lost everything while doing nothing except making a big fuss before losing. GTFO.

[-] Entertain529@lemmy.ml 7 points 18 hours ago

Fox News’s Sean Hannity ranted bitterly about Hasan Piker, the left-wing political commentator.

“Now before, nobody in the Democratic Party stood up to Hasan Piker, and that wing of the party, but the inclusion party, they did kick out Haley Stevens. She’s out of the party. That’s what we’re dealing with,” Hannity [said](https://x.com/Acyn/status/2118163462862098499?a=vYz3Rmeie8ShkgMB0dM\&s=20).

These ghouls really have nothing when they are throwing blame toward a twitch streamer. Pathetic cry more.

Others could be fired, such as Secretary of Defense [Pete Hegseth](https://newrepublic.com/post/217587/donald-trump-pete-hegseth-midterms), whom Trump has been considering giving the axe.

That would be so amazing.. PLEASE

Some Republicans seem to be in agreement: Representative Thomas Massie plans to resurrect his articles of impeachment against Hegseth, and several members of the GOP [believe](https://newrepublic.com/post/217633/pete-hegseth-impeached-before-democrats-congress) it will pass.

If Trump doesn't get to him first LOL

[-] FudgyMcTubbs@lemmy.world 1 points 7 hours ago

Oh, I assumed the plan was to impeach Hegseth for his most heinous offenses and then find him not guilty -- that way when the dems are in office, the Republicans can then say, "why are you impeaching him for this?! We already did it. This is a waste of resources. This is all a show."

[-] njordomir@lemmy.world 1 points 8 hours ago

Hasan aura-farmed these fools for months. :D

Also, I can't wait for South~~park~~ America to catch up with all of this!

[-] FudgyMcTubbs@lemmy.world 2 points 7 hours ago

Gauranteed, South Park is gonna ridicule the ever loving shit out of Jeffries, schumer and the Dems within 6 months.

[-] njordomir@lemmy.world 2 points 3 hours ago

As is tradition.

[-] stein2027@lemmy.world 28 points 1 day ago

Democrats need new leadership, not just new faces playing the same political games. No more political theater.

AOC in senate with Omar as speaker.

[-] halezinflames@lemmus.org 4 points 18 hours ago

Get these losers out, for sure. Bring in the new era of progressives, leave the DINOs in the past.

[-] kreskin@lemmy.world 4 points 19 hours ago

Dont just replace, prosecute. The Leahy laws are very clear about us not supporting regimes engaged in genocide and these chucklefucks did it anyway. They are criminal conspirators and belong in prison for abetting mass murder.
