So ashamed they lost bird of the century the kiwi has exiled itself to live among the chickens

I thought they were referring to a man from New Zealand from just the headline. I'm not from New Zealand, obviously

Yeah nah it wasn't a dude from New Zealand, but a bird from New Zealand.

I was half expecting you to say fruit, TBH (we say kiwifruit here, to distinguish our foods from each other).

The Kiwi is to the left of the chicken in the photo, I didn't spot it at first either.
