I should stop working. It's been hours and nobody has asked me to do anything so I've just started to decipher code that's written by a colleague. What is wrong with me.

I feel quite out of the loop on what happened with the r/Melbourne
Is there a TLDR?
Mods shutdown the sub over the app/api issue. EDIT: some more loop, reddit admins seem to have hired some business types who'r looking to turn a profit. As such, reddit is charging a fortune for third party apps to access the reddit API (backdoor control centre). The third party apps turn a profit off their advertising, reddit claims it does not make a profit. e2: more loop, so a bunch of subreddits are "going dark" in protest.
Dammit, so the Melbourne sub going private thing smashed my last 6 months of journaling on the DT. Had I known I could have copied it. Anyone an old melbourne mod here? Any ideas where it might be webarchived? I messaged the old mods today to try and see if they'll grant me access for a little while to copy it. I should have doing it all along, but I obvioulsy didn't foresee this and I had no warning all our old comments would disappear. eck.
EDIT in other news I went to the st kilda town hall for the pop up drag storytime run by rainbow community angels in the wake of another drag storytime event being cancelled due to the disgustiing behaviour of a few. It was cold and wet but our hearts were warmed. happy pride. again.
I just ordered stuff from Coles to be delivered because I'm not feeling so great, and I reckon even with the elevated prices/fee I'm still going to save money because I'm not wandering the supermarket picking up things I didn't go in to get/things I don't need/things I absolutely should not be buying.
Hard to walk out of a supermarket these days without spending near $100 with my wheelie nanna bag but I got away with this for $40 delivered.
Update: the packer couldn't find 3 of my items, 2 of which were the most important components of what I wanted for dinner. Welp.
Morning all! I've been up too late tinkering with this new experience and my eyes feel like they're hanging out on stalks, so I'd better lay off the revenge bedtime procrastination and hit the hay. G'night all!
TIL: Typescript is a computer programming language, not a font.
If I learn a computer language, can I call myself bilingual?
I slept like an idiot last night, and woke up with my cat on my back, so my back is killing me today. Can't bend over without any pain
why the fuck did my body decide that i needed enough sleep before fucking 5 o'clock in the fucking morning? i mean, i get a couple extra hours to do housework, but i REALLY don't wanna be awake at this time of day. i'd much rather be giving my pillow some head and my blacket some tail

Do you ever feel like all you do is work all day and there’s nothing else going on in your life
I’ve just inhaled half a tray of roast veg. That’ll be dinner
Good morning DT !! hope everyone has a good day today :)
Hullo kids
Think I'm finally getting the hang of keeping the fire going so I don't have to sit over it and feed it. Mind you I have had to dash over and madly stoke it with paper a couple of times.
Oh DT peeps, I finally did it. I bought a new curved monitor from Officeworks. This one of anyone is curious https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/samsung-23-5-fhd-curved-monitor-lc24f390fhexxy-salc24f390. And damn man, although it was only $147 that's a lot of coin for me. The buyer's remorse sets in hard when I can't actually touch or see or use something I spent large amounts of money on
Is a curved monitor going to be as revolutionary as everyone keeps telling me it will be? I was gonna pay the extra $30 and get the 27", but I'd have had to catch a train to Wangaratta and hen cart it back, not ideal
