Ever since the US and Israel took out Iran's Natanz uranium refinery everyone's been doing it... The problem is, there little we can do to secure it, because software is too hard to reliably audit (it's easy to measure a wall and prove it's crooked - when it's abstract, like software, that's a lot harder!)
