Welcome to today’s daily kōrero!

It doesn’t have to be me making the thread, first in first served. If you are here on a day and there’s no daily thread, feel free to create it!

Anyway, it’s just a chance to talk about your day, what you have planned, what you have done, etc.

So how’s it going?

Saw a 9 dollar cauliflower the other day.

How the f are people surviving?

I've been going to a weekend market. This weekend caulis were about $5, and were decent sized. We don't struggle, but I have been making a point of going every weekend and getting as little from the supermarkets as possible as a bit of a protest at how much they are charging.

Reasons I hate doing squats. 1. I suck at them. 2. They hurt. 3. Other people are good at them. 4. I'm doing squats now.

Have I missed anything?

I'm just impressed you can squat and type at the same time

Monday is rolling out as planned. No frost here today and it was a balmy walk to work. I need to start taking a more scenic route though, things are starting to bud and I usually get the urge to pretend I'm a photographer when nature starts doing things.

How is your morning going?

Not too cold here either!

My morning has been relatively uneventful. So uneventful I can't even point to an event to talk about!

I'm eagerly awaiting the Lemmy 0.18 release, because there's so much broken stuff that I'm hopeful it will fix!

Afternoon all. Nice calm start to what is hopefully a nice calm week. After four weeks of travel-for-work around NZ, it's nice to be home. Laundry and chores done, two work calls ticked off. As well as some veggie shopping and prepping tonight's dinner, hoping to have a deeper dive into Lemmy, find/subscribe to communities that reflect my interests (and can duplicate/replace those I engage with elsewhere. First, I'm thinking a walk in the sunshine and a bowl of noodles are next on the list.

Community discovery is not the easiest, but some people have been setting up tools. You can just go to Communities->All if you want to browse ones other people have found, but if you're looking for something more niche or something in particar then you can try the community browser someone set up at https://browse.feddit.de, or the one at https://lemmyverse.net/communities (probably the second one is better).
