Texting on a WiFi iPod, amazing

[-] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 53 points 2 years ago

You can achieve anything with the right dice roll.

[-] Kit@lemmy.blahaj.zone 16 points 2 years ago

Through RNGesus all things are possible, so jot that down.

[-] NielsBohron@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago

Now, this is the episode the world needs

[-] iiGxC@slrpnk.net 71 points 2 years ago

The crispness of this photo for such an ancient screenshot is incredible

[-] bassomitron@lemmy.world 37 points 2 years ago

They upscaled and restored an internet artifact. A meme archivist.

[-] 9point6@lemmy.world 17 points 2 years ago

They're doing HD remastered memes now?

[-] VindictiveJudge@lemmy.world 6 points 2 years ago

Can't wait to get Charlie Bit My Finger on bluray.

[-] agamemnonymous@sh.itjust.works 14 points 2 years ago

What strikes me is, how old it is, how close the time stamp is to the precise anniversary of the original.

Indeed, almost exactly 12 years to the hour (depending on timezone). I wonder if this was intentional on the part of OP?

[-] Corkyskog@sh.itjust.works 5 points 2 years ago

Now I desperately want to see it crushed into oblivion where you can almost count the pixels

[-] Vej@lemm.ee 21 points 2 years ago

Is there a Fedi for looking for D&D groups?

[-] GladiusB@lemmy.world 30 points 2 years ago

You fell for the trap. Roll to see if you can escape. Your game has begun.

[-] Vej@lemm.ee 13 points 2 years ago

My dice roller app said I got a 19. It's on.

[-] GladiusB@lemmy.world 9 points 2 years ago

You needed a 20 to escape. Now back to the cauldrons of deeper consciousness. You awaken on a bed made of old wood and only a candle lighting a room.

It was small, maybe 10x10. There is a side table with a key, to unlock the door and a book.

You must roll to choose one or the other. One leads to knowledge ahead. The other is your way out.

[-] Donkter@lemmy.world 9 points 2 years ago

Setting a lvl 1 trap to DC 20 makes me iffy about starting a campaign with you.

[-] GladiusB@lemmy.world 7 points 2 years ago

You are now the DM.

Sucker!

[-] Donkter@lemmy.world 7 points 2 years ago

Rocks fall, everyone dies.

[-] hoshikarakitaridia@lemmy.world 3 points 2 years ago

That's how I like my DMs. Always trying to kill the party.

[-] MrBusiness@lemmy.zip 5 points 2 years ago

I would like to use the book to beat down the door.

Two days later, "Would you like to invest in a fantastic crypto opportunity with me? "

[-] iAvicenna@lemmy.world 12 points 2 years ago

for someone who doesn't know D&D, dungeons and dragons will likely sound very scary

[-] Knock_Knock_Lemmy_In@lemmy.world 17 points 2 years ago
[-] iAvicenna@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago

I would say definitely would sound like BDSM related

[-] ShaggySnacks@lemmy.myserv.one 3 points 2 years ago

As soon as I get untied.

[-] Atin@lemmy.world 12 points 2 years ago

I'd love to learn to play D&D

[-] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 18 points 2 years ago

Unless you live in a very tiny town, you probably have a local game store. If you do, go in and make friends and you'll find someone to show you the way.

[-] TheDoozer@lemmy.world 30 points 2 years ago

go in and make friends

These are some "draw the rest of the owl" instructions right here.

[-] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 9 points 2 years ago

If there are two places in this world a socially awkward person can make new friends, it's a game store and a comic book store.

You don't even have to do it in a "normal" way. In fact, in a game store, just saying, "those dice look cool" would be enough.

Roll20.net has some free games you can join. I'd suggest 5e to start, and using 5e.tools for looking stuff up
