... kann/ sollte das irgendwie angestoßen werden? Oder entdeckt der Web Crawler von Lemmyverse die Instanz sowieso demnächst?

"Lemmy Explorer" ist m.E. momentan die wichtigste Suche nach Lemmy-Communitys, gerade auch für User, die keinen Lemmy-Account haben, und von anderswo aus dem Fediverse Communitys suchen und abonnieren möchten. Oder auch für Leute, die noch gar keinen Account haben und sich mal vorab anschauen möchten, was es schon so gibt.

Seems like a pretty useful website to search for communities across all instances. As the Fediverse grows I think tools like this are going to become more and more critical (and hopefully built-in to the platforms themselves).

To see kbin "magazines" (that's how subreddits/communities are called on kbin) you have to switch to displaying them in top right corner:

Or you can just open this link: https://lemmyverse.net/kbin/magazines?order=followers

And to go back to displaying lemmy communities you have to press on "communities" in the middle on the top of the site:

I made this website to crawl and display Lemmy instances since the existing ones were lacking certain filtering and search options.

I have licensed it as MIT and the code is on https://github.com/tgxn/lemmy-explorer

Let me know if there's any issues, and create a GitHub issue if you want some features :D
