The account also seemed fixated on people from India, writing “Normalize Indian hate” and supporting a so-called “eugenic immigration policy,” tweets that are shocking to normal people but have become fairly typical on extremist social media platforms like X.

What a champ. I like gizmodos framing of twitter as an extremist platform though, that's a fun development that we should normalise.

Anywhere property is massively over valued this is going to be true.

Even taking off what I owe in mortgage my net worth would make me look pretty well off in the UK, but I earn a pretty below average wage.

Thanks - same to you!

I think it's a combo of being a "real" adult, thinking about the implications of things going on in the world (on yourself and everyone else) and the world being a mess.

Still, at least I'm old enough to be comfortable in my self (even if it's anxious, unfit, and aching) and generally happy to just be.

That's an awesome set of improvements - well done!

I can't promise to be any use to you, but I'm glad to swap ideas about what the fuck to make of our 30s...

I like the fastfit ones - because I'm a sucker I paid extra for the 100% bicycle mechanic ones. We're a vain bunch haha.

I've heard horror stories about knock offs from Amazon but these have given me no issues. I've used them for some harder work but not extensively so YMMV.

Rugby is perhaps one of the gayest mainstream sports around.

Anecdotally at my university in the early 2000s the women's sevens tournaments were basically a networking event for the ladies who enjoyed the company of other ladies.

I have tinnitus and struggle in loud places to focus on conversations because I just get an unfiltered mess and f noise hitting my brain.

It sucks, because I can hear a pin drop the rest of the time.

My android phone has a "one handed" mode that moves the keyboard to one side for this very purpose. Not ideal but better than nothing.

What gloves do you use? I've got a pair of Mechanix gloves that have been wearing pretty well - thicker than my usual gloves (muc-off work gloves) but they haven't stopped me working on fiddly stuff yet.

Fried. Work is manic, I've been dealt a bad hand in a game I didn't know I was playing, and I don't get paid nearly enough to deal with it.

I stopped going to counselling recently too, and I'm sort of regretting that too.

But the sun isn't setting at 4pm any more, and I've got some time off over the next few weeks so hopefully I can recharge and un-anxiety my brain, if I ever get some time to myself to fix up my bicycle and get some KMs in my legs.

I used it decades ago (using the CLI installer for a Sid install I eventually fucked up beyond repair) and it was okay for a slightly tech savvy teenager, even then.

I suspect a lot of these issues are down to hardware compatibility more than anything else.
