I lived with a French Canadian while living in France. They like to get so high and mighty about speaking "purer" French with "less loanwords", but I would say they use just as many if not more.

One example was a day we started taking about cars. I hear him use words like "wheel" and "bumper" (literally just the English words with a French accent) and I'm like "bro do they really not use the French words for those in Canada?"

Except if I get something to replace me, it better do better than me, not just just as good. So I would expect better sensors.

Not quite. Imagine you're writing a research paper at the library. You take some books off the shelf to study from while you're there. Then, before you leave, don't reshelve the books. It's because the library tracks metrics of which books are being used and if you put it back yourself it doesn't get counted.

As someone who lived in France for a couple of years a decade ago, in sorry to hear that. I loved it there and would move back to France in a heartbeat if it was feasible.
