Right? The nerd who looks at steam on their phone and then on their desktop and rages about the UI... Like dude, chill.

The UX in UX/UI stands for User Experience and it's great.

He was pro-Trump in 2016.

This is more of a victory speech.

At the entry level, it's extremely tough now. You're competing against engineers who are willing to work remotely for less. If you don't have a portfolio, in my company, youre pretty much a NO.

It's absolutely your geography. I lived in a town with very little tech folks, and I was chasing after every lead I could. Moved to a tech hub, and I was turning down offers left and right. I was also speaking at conferences and doing a lot with the tech community - doing hackathons and contributing to open source while I was unemployed.

No state has a longer, more profit-driven history of contracting prisoners out to private companies than Alabama. With a sprawling labor system that dates back more than 150 years — including the brutal convict leasing era that replaced slavery — it has constructed a template for the commercialization of mass incarceration.

Most jobs are inside facilities, where the state’s inmates — who are disproportionately Black — can be sentenced to hard labor and forced to work for free doing everything from mopping floors to laundry. But more than 10,000 inmates have logged a combined 17 million work hours outside Alabama’s prison walls since 2018, for entities like city and county governments and businesses that range from major car-part manufacturers and meat-processing plants to distribution centers for major retailers like Walmart, the AP determined.

According to police, Charles Smith, 27, entered the Walmart at 1955 S. Stapley Dr. on Dec. 19 intending to film pranks for social media platforms.

Instead, police said Smith grabbed a can of Hot Shot Ultra Bed Bug and Flea Killer from a shelf without paying for it and then sprayed the pesticide on various vegetables, fruit and rotisserie chickens that were available for purchase.

Smith recorded his face, the pesticide can and the act of him spraying its contents. He later posted the recording online.

“My sense is that many enterprise WordPress administrators will think twice about continuing to use the software under these circumstances,” said IDC Research Manager Michele Rosen. “It’s such a shame to watch a leader in the open source community repeatedly sabotage his own project.”

“At this point, I have real concerns about the impact of Matt Mullenweg’s words and actions on the overall image of open source software,” she added. “Even if he feels that WP Engine’s actions are unethical and the court is wrong, his actions are clearly having an impact on the WordPress ecosystem, including his own business. It seems self-destructive.”

David Mascarella returned to the Suffolk County Police Department in New York on Thursday following an 18-month unpaid suspension for driving drunk and crashing into a car carrying two children, one of whom was permanently injured. In August 2020, Mascarella spent his day off golfing and lunching during which he claimed he drank up to three 12-ounce vodka soda cocktails, Newsday reported after an extensive investigation.

That day, the off-duty police officer drove his pickup truck 20 mph over the speed limit while texting and rear-ended a compact vehicle driven by Kevin Cavooris. Cavooris's two young sons were passengers in his car.

When the crash occurred, instead of calling 911, Mascarella called his union delegate. At the scene, a detective said he wanted to administer a breathalyzer test but the responding sergeant contacted a Suffolk County Police Benevolent Association delegate who drove Mascarella away before the test was given, according to Newsday.

Playing as a Ghoul (with customizable design and even skin texture) is an endgame experience, as the related quest only starts at level 50. Ghouls will have 'dozens of alternate ways' to specialize their character, according to the developers.

To begin with, they are not only immune to radiation; it actually heals them. If your character is hurt, standing on top of some radioactive material will start healing them. Moreover, once fully healed, the excess radiation will build up into a new resource called Glow. Depending on how the player character is specialized, Glow can provide various effects. Ghouls can also utilize 32 exclusive perk cards on top of those already available for human characters, providing great variety when it comes to character progression.
