The original post we are commenting on stated instances could not opt out. Or at least I thought it did, I don't know how to check edit history. I'm now aware thats untrue.

Switching sites is annoying? I'm sure you are aware of that though...

Thats good to know - but the fact the thread you link to shows some sites get a big WARNING COMMUNISM DETECTED doesn't make me feel much better XD

If you can't opt out as an instance its a bit more than "default settings" imo

And my whole issue is not wanting too wide a net being labeled under "trash sites" I hate Fox News and Infowars but I also hate them being hidden from me with no way to get around that besides switching from piefed to a different service. Who is to say what the next trash site will be? Spam is one thing but I don't need a net nanny.

Thats a fair and reasonable take

This says its all piefed instances

goddamnit goddamnit goddamnit

Why does every fediverse reddit clone have to pull this shit? Like that blocklist isn't horrible - now - but what if the dude pulls a fetterman and next year he is blocking shit you agree with? Politically motivated censorship is the type of thing many people are trying to get away from.

Thanks for sharing this, I genuinely had no idea

i found this hack of Arcana to be great, and I don't usually enjoy dungeon crawlers. The auto mapper is a big part of that https://www.romhacking.net/hacks/4505/

Kirby Super Saga for SNES plays a lot like a modern indie platformer (or they play like it I guess)

The SNES remake of Dragon Quest 1 has a simple gameplay loop of walk around a town fighting for money, buy the equipment at that town, go to the next one, repeat that I find very enjoyable. The original game came with a map and guide so don't hesitate to look at a walkthrough.

Very strange, it almost feels like something made by a runaway AI

Still too expensive. I am glad to see some companies facing pains for their relentless price gouging.

I use the obvious thrift and second hand stores when I'm out and about. When I look online the best site I've found is HamiltonBooks.com. I've also been checking out gruv.com, which I found when I went looking to preorder Deathstalker. I'm curious if there are any good sites I'm missing out on. I've been getting into UHDs but some of the prices seem outrageous.

I would love an option to only view text posts. They are easy to find on reddit, with so many subs dedicated to them. They can get easily lost in the threadiverse though, greatly outnumbered by memes and links to news articles.
