For those who didn't read: Val himself had already signed up for this movie and it apparently meant a lot to him to star in it. The producers contacted his family to discuss the matter, and they consented to the idea.

Enterprise Windows does not get all those ads. I haven't seen a single ad on any of my Windows machines.

Germany and Japan were fascist states that went on the offensive, and both were forced into total capitulation followed by extensive programmes to uproot the fascist elements from their societies, paired with programmes to help rebuild.

Syria was primarily fighting a civil war against a dictator, not against the US and Israel.

In this case, Iran was attacked and its spiritual leader was assassinated. And as much as we dislike that guy, many Iranians did like him. Iran was then heavily bombed, including what appear to be civilian targets. There are no clear signs of widespread civil unrest that could topple the regime entirely yet.

I don't see this ending well anytime soon.

Personally I've had my phone rooted for years and only twice encountered an app that really wouldn't work anymore.

Yes. This controller was specifically created for Apple and it's a proprietary chip.

No other manufacturer uses it, and thus no other manufacturer has these security flaws. Apple didn't rely on existing, tried and tested controllers but had to make something proprietary and 'special', and the fucked up in doing so.

It's a bit iffy. Byzantium originally was located a bit further west. After Constantinople was "refounded", it was located a bit further east. Some historians consider Constantinople to be a new city that usurped Byzantium over the years, others don't and consider it the same city altogether.

This is complicated by some sources referring to the place as one and the same, whereas others seem to be indicating distinct (albeit close) locations.

Ultimately it doesn't really matter though. It didn't take long for Constantinople to grow beyond where Byzantium used to be, so the time period where they could've been distinct is really quite small.

They do that as well. The social media post will contain a brief synopsis and will link to a government website for more information.

Not really a Dixie Chicks case, as that was mostly a sort of cancelling by the public at large.

This cartoonist quit over a cartoon in which she depicted rich people and corporations (like Mickey Mouse aka Disney) offering money and worship to a Trump statue. It was shut down, likely by directions the WaPo got from Bezos, same reason he killed the Harris endorsement and started meeting Trump.

In other words, the government didn't shut it down. Fear for a Trump-led government did. Which honestly I'm not sure is better or even worse. Trump doesn't have to censor shit, the corporate-owned "free" press will apparently self-censor to avoid his wrath in the first place.

Can someone explain what the point of limiting yourself to just using 60% of the batteries capacity is, if all you seem to be getting out of it is it staying above 80-90% after several years? Which is far more than you were using anyway?

I have my current Oneplus for well over 3,5 years now, and I never bothered with the battery capacity. I always plug it into the fast charger that came with it overnight.

Battery capacity really is still completely fine. I don't run out during the day and if it does get close (if I'm very heavily using it) I plug it in for 10 minutes and get like half a charge. Which all seems like less effort than I would have to do to keep the battery within 20-80%?

If the battery does end up failing I can just have it replaced, doesn't really cost that much either. But so far it seems the built-in battery protections work just fine.

"Nazi Winnie the Pooh banned in Russia"

Yes, seems that they're taking it very seriously and not just calling shit they don't like "Nazi". Considering this is the country that cheers on the Wagner-group, a neonazi extremist mercenary group led by open fascists and literally named after Hitler's favourite composer (as stated by Wagner's founder), I'm sure that they're taking the fight against Nazism very seriously and won't ever abuse it for propaganda reasons.
