I obviously can't comment on everyone's experience, but for the few people I know that did get cancer (including my mother) they were all scheduled scans within two weeks and had results delivered within another two (or less especially for the first diagnosis).

In my mother's case everything moved extremely quickly, due to the doctor suspecting something serious the first scan was scheduled in a few days and the results were back before a week had passed.

I never really stayed in one map for too long but now that you've mentioned it I do recall thinking things were taking too long to respawn during some specific mon grinding.

Z-A has definitely fixed this with more intuitive respawn mechanics, but it's got much more of a focus on battling and less on collecting this time around, so it isn't for everyone. Much more fun than the main series has been in a while though!

seems perfectly neutral

I'm pretty confident that making something free now cost money is a universally disliked thing.

we should refrain from these kind of comments until we cross that bridge

Respectfully, before a proposed change is enacted is the perfect time for comments pointing out its flaws or the issues that may arise. It's why it's a proposed change and not already in effect.

Aww man, the memories of making a garden base for Botania outside my friend's Thaumcraft witch tower, across a river where your could see a Buildcraft quarry running next to someone's industrial complex... Good times!

Tried playing Cobblemon with the idea to make our own themed towns but just like you there doesn't seem to be time for it anymore :(

Man I haven't been on Hypixel Skyblock in ages! It was really fun being there for all the community moments back when Technoblade was rocking the server.

Unfortunately the grind got too much so I ended up stopping playing and instead spending time helping out on Skyblock Addons. But once new content was locked behind skills rather than items it became impossible to work on new features, so that was my sign to leave.

It's good to hear they've put a soft deadline on it, but I can't help but think it's wasted time when they could be building recognition with the average person. I hope I'm worrying over nothing.

This is what worries me. If they can't even decisively pick a name how are they supposed to unify left wing voters? It does not inspire confidence.

Labour didn't win the last election, the Tories lost because Reform split the vote and they happend to have the next biggest voter base. Now that Labour is losing it and Reform is gaining momentum, Your Party should have chosen a name and gone on the offensive long ago.

I'm so glad someone's mentioned CrossCode! Such a wonderful experience from beginning to end. The world really feels alive with every inch of a mal being used to either enhance the story or hide a puzzle! I loved seeing chests and figuring out how to get to them across several maps.

I'm really looking forward to their next project, Alabaster Dawn. I hope it's just as good!

The workshop is an interesting topic and one if like to see a larger discussion around - theoretically people are free to upload their workshop content outside of Steam altogether, but arguably it's on developers to support importing non-workshop content.

Censorship is definitely something that needs sorting out. I hadn't heard of much censorship going on but I can definitely see it happening, giv n Japan's standards can differentiate massively from America's. Clear rules need to be laid, and I hope clear reasons are given when it occurs.

It got added when they moved from Greenlight to the current system IIRC.

Double checked and it's called the "Steam Direct fee", is $100 (+ potential taxes) and you get it back when the game makes $1,000 "Adjusted Gross Revenue".

I'm with you on all of this. I'm familiar with this (am a game dev) and you're 100% right that the biggest cost is game distribution. One thing though: it costs ~$100 to list a game on Steam, which is returned to you after it's made a thousand or two.

Honestly there's nothing much valve can do to appease people, but I believe the most likely thing they can do is release data on how much distribution costs and give companies the ability to disable the "extra stuff" to save even a few percent of their revenue.

Not a silly question! The answer is technically yes, but not really.

Considering there are still sites that store plaintext passwords, there has to be some that just hash it and call it a day. For those, once you crack the hash, you know everyone with the same hash has the same password. Any real site does some more complex stuff to "personalise" each hashed password.

The real issue is when you reuse the password and it gets cracked once, people will try that with your email for other leaks and live sites. If a lot of people use the same password (like "password123"), they're likely to try it as one of the first guesses to crack any new leaks.

I'm oversimplifying my already oversimplified knowledge of basic cryptography, but it's a really interesting topic!
