exactly, they give an alternative and the USA doenst like that as we saw in the HondurasGate case.

The west does de-industrialize and delocazation does affect its workers, but i dont see the west that much weakened. At least i dont see it very well. Obviously i know capitalism cant do anything but go towards its grave, but i dont see that much...effect from china other than it being discredited in stupid ways online.

Really idk what to say and sincerely dont care. As long as China is here its alr, but china has been in the economy for a while, its growing good, but not extremely that you can notice change in a few years. What i think really matters is organizing, because capitalism decay's while going to the grave, and when its decaying that is a time to act.

yeah it doesnt really seem like it thou.

controversial take, china isnt really "saving from western imperialism" they couldnt care less and they just trade with countries like any normal nation would. they dont intervene in military action or really export capital, they arent imperialist, but they arent actively opposing imperialism. Plus i dont see anything of theirs coming to help communists in non AES so idk. They are passively showing that a different system is possible, but eventually the world will have to pass to scientific socialism. Plus China trades with capitalist consumerist countries, that means they are for the interests of what the west will buy. That means that if we buy phones, plastic containers, indumets, ecc. from China, China is producing those and it needs to take the prime materials from earth (or someone else who took them from the eath) and manufactured those. they sell these to the west in the amount the consumerist west needs. At the end they are providing the west with what it needs and thus contributing to the living (also) of capitalist western countries.

I dont know if you get what im saying

I sincerely do feel like the cuban citizens interviwed. I really dont know. I hope this is to make it possible to lift the blockade in some way, but i rarely trust these kinds of privatization reforms that come from the pressure of capitalist countries. If they help the people in general its ok ig, but i hope they wont be completely permanent. This is something i need to think about and sincerely wanted to hear from others

For My personal and private miscellanous thoughts i have been writing on a diary, but i always need to have it with me and (im kinda ashamed) i dont write good if i write as fast as on computer. I obviously cant copy/paste and i use a pen. I also find myself better with a keyboard so using a computer is what i think the most efficent way. Now, my daily driver (and what im writing this on) is a MacBookAir 2013 11" with (still) MacOS 10.14.5 installed and to write I'd use LibreOffice (duh). I know thou that this isnt private, its connected to the internet and its still using MacOS. I know a bit about technology (i find it weird for someone with zero knowledge of it having even found lemmy, but who knows), but i am certanly no expert. That's why i am asking you how could i write on a computer privately. Nothing needs to get online but i will need to atleast have other documents or documents itself come in trough a USB probably. I am certain i need to install a Linux distro or a BSD. Keep in mind that if i need that machine not on the internet id need to have another machine wich is and from this machine would probably need to get stuff out and into the "private one" with a USB. This is probably confusing and if it isnt relative to the sub and needs to be deleted, please warn me with a comment so i can copy and save this post to post it somwhere else before it gets deleted.

I have found two old macbooks in the house me and my family live in. They are a MacBookair 2011 and a MacBook pro from 2008. I don't want to throw them away cause they are usable. I daily drive another 2013 MacBook air, very small and great for what I do with it, Wich I'm still looking to put Linux on it. For the 2011 MacBookair I put MX in it and I'm pretty good with it(but I want to use it as backup for the 2013), but with the 2008 MacBook pro there Is a problem: there is no battery to be found and it works only connected to power. Since here there are kinda frequent power outages for a minute or so I still can't use it for something that requires it running all the time. Do you have any suggestions on what to do with it or any distro? (For the 2013, 2011and 2008)

Sorry for the trouble

Have a great day (and I hope this is relevant to the community)

I found Lemmy thanks to a guy on reddit wich answered to my comment. I said that we leftists generally lacked a place where we could express some opinions without te fear of being banned. infact Reddit moderation (both admins and mods) suck and doing their "job" and there are instances of people being banned just for saying something completely normal or just some bugs. I am still active on Reddit but would like to make the Lemmy community grow so mabye it can become and actual alternative.

Sorry for any disturb, bye :3

P.S.

Ban evasion control is stupid and I fucking hate permabans, since they are so common for the minimal stuff.
