Sounds about right. Haha.

I mean, it's kind of hilarious. π
"We're going on an adventure!"
It's a 'feel good.' You might shed a happy tear. And best of all... it adds hope energy to the heart tank which is constantly being drained by everything else these days.
Narration and direct intervention from an octopus? Well, that just takes it into the realm of delight. They are such curious and wonderful beings.
I only recently learned about how short their life span is. I never imagined it. The longest living species only list 3 to 5 years. They are so intelligent. Evolutionarily speaking, they must be getting stunted so much by that short life span. They are one of the reasons I liked the Children of Time series so much. In the books, humans introduce genetically modified octopuses to a planet, which form the most interesting civilization... but it really was just fun to imagine what they might become after enough time and natural selection.
P.S. This movie not about an octopus. haha. The story line is just a plus.
Waxwings are by far one of my most favorite species. I had longed to see them, but never could manage it until a couple of years ago.
I was on a walk and heard bird calls I was unfamiliar with. I searched for the source and was blown away. Firstly, by how much smaller they were than I thought they'd be. π But then by how beautiful they truly are. π I didn't have my binoculars at the time, which was a bit sad, but I was honestly just happy to have finally encountered them. π
A couple of months ago, I finally was able to see them through binoculars for the first time. They really are the best. πππ
The best.
You know, I've noticed some pretty heavy genre shifts. I'm not against them, but they can sometimes be quite jarring. Westworld was pretty jarring. Some less so, like Dark (which I didn't mind at all) or maybe Lost. I don't think it's inherently bad, I think it can be disappointing sometimes when you expect it to be one way and then it shifts hard.
Honestly, when Alex was revealed, I was disappointed. I really live scifi, but some tropes are tiring and overused. I'm really really really hoping this AI is actually benevolent because I'm exhausted by the malevolent super computers...
I really like well rounded shows that actually finish strong. So 3 seasons would be great.
The elevator scene was annoying for the time waste. Seriously, stop hugging her. Move! But it (or something similar) was necessary so that Dylan, his mom, and X would connect. So I get it.
I knew they would try to bring Jane back into things. The gun was in the ground. I told my partner that if Gabriela doesn't pick it up now and make sure she is dead, then Jane will be back. Ugh.
I'm sure Alex has a reason for Jane, but I really dislike her character.
I get it. So what is/was next on the watchlist for you? Liking something else currently?
I know folks who really struggle with flashbacks. Some shows are better at providing queues than others. It can be tough for some to enjoy as a result.
Are you liking and still watching the show in spite of it?
tbh, I didn't even notice 'layered' flashbacks. π¬
Just finished season two. Really glad it was renewed for a third. π―
Swallows are so beautiful! π₯Ήπ
