Fallout 76.

Got a bad reputation at launch because it was so buggy, the main "quest" was lackluster and the world felt empty due to a lack of NPCs. It was genuinely in a bad state.

They've made loads of improvements and the game is really fun now. After the Wastelanders update, which brought NPCs and a new main quest, it started to shake off some of the negativity but I think many people are still turned off due to the launch stigma

Nah. Lots of great games, but I think there's a bit of recency bias. 2001 or 2004 would be my pick for greatest year(s) for gaming.

Saw What a Wonderful Knife (2023) on Shudder yesterday.

A girl kills a slasher villain, then a year later wishes she was never born and ends up in an alternate universe where the killer is still alive and continuing to terrorize the town.

Stars Jane Widdop from Yellowjackets. I liked their character quite a bit. Justin Long's in it too, Joel McHale, Cassandra Naud (Influencer)... Really good cast.

Christmas movies generally aren't my thing but I was in the mood for something seasonal. I enjoyed it.

I'm sure many would consider Redfall a stinker, but I enjoyed it quite a bit. And this was before the updates.

Elder Scrolls Online. According to Xbox's 2023 year in review, I've spent over 750 hours in Tamriel this year.

Also been enjoying Fallout 76 and the new invasion season of Mortal Kombat 1
