I think the join-lemmy.org link was fine, it seemed to get deleted when you edited in links to specific lemmy instances?

also what's the best alternative for Mastodon? a lot of people there already tried Mastodon and didn't like it due to UX/UI issues

I would be good to list Mastodon as well as an alternative, and also listing Mbin might be good too? but then maybe you're putting too many choices lol

isn't the GPU Ampere? aka 3000 series, which was 8nm as you say

would be kinda crazy if both the arch and the node are so old, I'm really hoping for a decent new Shield TV...

but the current Shield TV is Maxwell and 16nm lol so anything would be an upgrade at this point

There's an option to export/import your settings, which includes the list of subscribed communities

I'm surprised this still isn't enabled by default

This is not limited to just Lemmy but any federated systems.

Not just federated systems, things like the Wayback Machine exist too, web crawlers, people can save websites too (every web browser has a save option), or you can self host an archiving crawler if you want to backup a certain website, data hoarders exist.

Higher refresh rate is definitely better yes, but 700 hz is well past the point of diminishing returns lol

yea I'm not sure what the benefit is for the app compared to the website, I tried both and they seem identical except the app is using an older and less secure version of Chromium and in a separate process so it uses more RAM, and it doesn't benefit from my browser extensions

Yeah at the very minimum you should tell them which instance to use, don't make them choose

Only one client I've found has implemented it

Which client does multisubs?

The 10 year anniversary of the channel was marked by a stream of a full motion video game with quite possibly the horniest main character ever. And it's not a fun kind of horny, it's an angry kind of horny. Well, let's enjoy(?) this '90s sexual psychodrama full of '90s ideas about sex and power.

Twitch archive with chat: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/319776185

some NSFW dialog and text, but I think all the actual nudity was censored here, at least in the Youtube video

Being my 1st TAS full game, it can be optimized and sub 10 min 50 is doable.

In my latest podcast, I interview Rob Landeros co-founder of Trilobyte Games and co-founder of Aftermath Media David Wheeler. Between them, they have been involved with such classic titles as The 7th Guest, The 11th Hour, Tender Loving Care and more.

We discuss their involvement with these titles, with new insights into their development and whether there is a possible continuation of the 7th Guest series.

or maybe some other terminology would be better? lots of people get confused when you ask them to choose an instance, sometimes I think even the word "proxy", "host", or "hub" is simpler

the specific terms aren't my point, just a discussion to see if we can come up with a better name
