Which part is broken in the app? Saving things, or viewing the list of saved items? From your description it sounds like maybe just displaying the list is the broken part.

Yeah I wouldn't mind some app guidelines that say no requirement to touch the edges of the screen, keep everything useful away from the edge with some padding

And then you could set the phone to ignore those touches so close to the edge

the search function will not search remote objects when you are not logged in, it prevents abuse of the API and server resources

Drop the permaurl/fedilink into your own instance's search box. Note that you have to be logged in when searching for remote content otherwise it'll silently find nothing, probably to avoid abuse of server resources.

Basically if the colorful fedilink icon is not there then you can just copy the URL from your address bar cause you're already on the local post. Posts are local to the instance of the poster, not the instance of the community.

But the doc you linked only mentions the last part. It does not specify wether new posts with no comments are sorted top or bottom.
