If it's not working in Photon, you could try a different frontend, like a mobile app. I think Jerboa and Boost can do it
When it comes to moderation tooling I'm honestly a little confused that there isn't more work or noise around a developing a sideloaded tool.
Yeah we just need volunteers to dedicate their time to it. But it's a lot easier to complain than it is to contribute.
Did you try these searches while logged in or anonymously? Lemmy (and probably other platforms) don't allow searches for remote objects unless you're logged in, this prevents abuse of server resources. The fact that you're getting replies and you can see them and reply to them means it's probably all working fine.
If you want bots check out the Lemmit communities. https://lemmit.online/communities
Or !hackernews@lemmy.smeargle.fans or !hackernews@derp.foo or !gaming@lemmy.zip
The problem is the bots make more posts than there are people willing to comment on anything. The userbase gets fragmented and they never end up in the same post as someone else, there's 0 actual socializing. People scroll past tons of posts with 0 comments and get frustrated and sometimes they quit. It also discourages real people from making regular posts because they can get drowned out by the bots.
I'd be very curious to see if there's been any successful Lemmy bot poster that just copies content from Reddit or somewhere else, in a way that people actually enjoy and engage with.
I think you need to respect the natural ratio of people posting and people commenting. Bots screw up that ratio big time and dilute the commenters spread thin, stretched across too many posts. Like butter scraped over too much bread.
remember RTX Remix only works for fixed function graphics, so games like Doom 3 with programmable shaders will not work in RTX Remix
Half-Life 2 was mainly programmable shaders, but it had an option for fixed function graphics for older computers, which is how it works in RTX Remix
I would replace the 2nd comma with a colon
No, Okta: senior management, not an errant employee, caused you to get hacked
I don't think shadow banning is a feature, but your post looks similar to this issue
How did they do that?

Proxying is a separate option from caching. I think it was added in 0.19.5
