I liked heliboard. It doesn't require network access, has gesture typing that works well, though you have to manually add the library, lots of configuration, and some stuff I use all the time like slide on delete to choose how much to delete and slide on space to move cursor.

Basically it is both private and a pleasure to use (after configuring)

I've played FF8 more than any other FF and it's partially for what the author is complaining about.

I can see complaining about the battle systems because they're pretty loose, but personally I think it's fun to play anyway.

The complaint about the characters not having a much of a story I guess is technically true if you compare it to the hamfisted diversions from the main story a lot of rpgs do to force a story arc for a character, but all of the characters feel like they are part of the group for a good reason because of their back stories and they all grow during the game.

I would just have to disagree on the writing. The story is why I play the game every few years. In fact, counter to the author's claim that it is incoherent, almost everything you do has to do with the sorceresses and history of the garden, without ever feeling like you got sent on an inconsequential side quest in the middle of a crisis.

In my experience, for developers, actual productivity is inversely correlated to AI usage espousal. I straight up had an extremely mid developer tell our CFO (who has no business scheduling meetings about AI with devs in the first place) that AI made them 10x as productive. There are still downsides to small agriculture such as sustainability and food production per resource usage. To directly answer the question, I don't have negative feelings towards anyone based solely on their diet. I have negative feelings towards the animal ag industries which deliberately hide information, lie about reality, and lobby the government to deceive people into not understanding the consequences or reality of their decisions. I also don't think positive change has to be all or nothing. Even just doing Meatless Monday has a positive impact, and making perfect the enemy of good just slows progress.

When did you choose to switch to a vegan lifestyle, what (if any) was the “catalyst”?

For a long time I ate vegan at home but would go to restaurants without anything I felt I could ethically eat in order to get along with people. I remember very distinctly the last time I ate meat at a restaurant and thinking "enough is enough"

What are some challenges that you have dealt with when it comes to this lifestyle?

I have missed out on social occasions and friends I otherwise would have enjoyed because they thought accommodating me when choosing restaurants was too burdensome.

It is not only diet. People are jerks to anyone that lives differently than them that they think they can get away with being jerks to. Basically it is acceptable to be jerks to vegans, therefore people are. Someday that will change, probably.
