Going back from a post has been broken on Lemmy since forever. Not always but most of the time when I am scrolling through Lemmy and click on a post on (for example) page 3, the list will go back to page 1 after I go back to it and will only show my actual former position after refreshing the page. It’s been one of my main reasons why I mostly use it only with apps on my phone.

I can highly recommend Mullvad VPN. They are on the more expensive side with 5€ per month with no promotions or sales. But they are generally well regarded and privacy respecting. You can even send the money as cash in an envelope to them if you are extremely paranoid.

I certainly hope that none of these authors have ever read a book before or have been inspired by something written by another author.

I've been using Pixelmator Pro since I've made the switch to Mac. Before that I was a long time GIMP user and so far I am quite happy with Pixelmator.

Ha they can fuck right off with that shit. Once again using emulation is so much superior to the lackluster half-assed bullshit these publishers shit out... And yet people will buy it because people just buy anything these days.

Considering how luke-warm Inquisition was and how terrible Andromenda was, I really don’t understand how people expect a good game from a company that hasn’t delivered a really good game in over 10 years.

I fully expect the next Dragon Age to be classic EA garbage, same as the next Mass Effect. Though I of course wouldn’t mind being proven wrong.

Oh yeah To the Moon is an absolute masterpiece. I've had the sequel in my steam backlog for ages. Should really replay TTM and then finally get around to playing the sequel...

Started the Mass Effect Legendary Edition, after wanting to replay the ME Trilogy for a couple years. Haven't played them since they originally released.

Just started ME3 yesterday, and it is nice to experience the gameplay changes from 1 to 3 in such a short time. I had completely forgotten how terrible that Mako in ME1 was. Made it almost unbearable for me. The Hammerhead in ME2 was so much better in every way.

Felt the itch to play some Dead Cells again, so I did that and finally got around to playing the new Castlevania DLC. Always a blast.

And I also finally got around to playing Ghost of Tsushima. Haven't gotten very far yet, but so far I like it. The combat is a little slow and janky for my taste but the enviroment and sheer beauty of the world make me want to keep playing it.

I went into blind as I do with most games, since I am not a fan of hype.

And I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. While I can’t say that it is a great Final Fantasy Game, I can say it is a very good action adventure with a Final Fantasy skin. And also the best Final Fantasy game in over 20 years (not considering remakes and remasters and MMOs).

I grew up with Final Fantasy and was in the camp of people that was fairly certain that FF is dead. So it was a nice surprise to experience a pretty good game in the FF franchise again.

As for criticism, the combat does become repetitive and the mobs are far too tanky for my taste. Also some cutscenes are so far out that at times I thought I played Asuras Wrath 2. But all in all it was an enjoyable 40h or so.
