Just wish the US would get a universal healthcare system like every freaking other developed country in this world. Will never happen. Ugh.

Well, you would think that we would at least try to a fix or alleviate the insanities. But no, we just talk about it for a few days while acting all shocked and then continue down the same road because no one can agree on a fix. In-freakin-sane system.

The US is such a backward ass country. The amount of backward ass things that happen on a regular basis in all parts of this society is just too long to list.

I'd definitely say that Americans value hard work. To the point of their own detriment. I'd also say they often strive for excellence in product making, but it rarely comes out excellent. When comparing product quality between Europe and the US, Europe almost always comes out ahead. Plus, Europeans value a good balance between work and life. That's true excellence in my book. The US seems to mostly survive on size and quantity rather than quality.

I don't doubt that it works for some, but there's a lot of uncertainty around whether or not they might reimburse. It's literally up to them and there are no set rules. If they find that you violated their religious code, you're out of luck.

With just weeks left in office, US President Joe Biden has commuted the sentences of 37 of 40 federal death row inmates - potentially thwarting President-elect Donald Trump's plans to expand federal executions during his upcoming administration.

Based on the upcoming robot apocalypse, obviously.

Not sure why Trump or Ohio should have any say whatsoever in what to name a mountain in Alaska.

President-elect Donald Trump has once again suggested he wants to revert the name of North America’s tallest mountain — Alaska’s Denali — to Mount McKinley, wading into a sensitive and decades-old conflict about what the peak should be called.

I'm a US citizen, and I don't see it as socialist.

The president-elect is renewing unsuccessful calls he made during his first term for the U.S. to buy Greenland from Denmark, adding to the list of allied countries with which he’s picking fights even before taking office on Jan. 20.

Financial experts predicted Jeff Bezos’s move to Florida would pay off handsomely—and they were right. So far, the Amazon founder’s tax savings have been astronomical, worth an estimated $1 billion this year alone.

Tom Cruise has been awarded the US Navy's highest civilian honour for "outstanding contributions" to the military with his screen roles.

A Gallup poll released this week but conducted before the killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, found that most Americans, 62%, think it is the responsibility of the federal government to make sure that all Americans have health care coverage. A minority, 36%, said it’s not the government’s responsibility.
