I mean in the context of AAA games, especially on PC.

Most games that spend a few years in early access get many of the bugs ironed out.

Early access in the rest of the gaming space is like 72 hours over weekend for $10 extra.

BG3 is generally not a normal case - it also spent 3 years in early access.

Some of the dead and captured are holocaust survivors.

It actually comes with like 20 games, though they unlock over a few weeks or something.

Their whole server thing is very ephemeral - it never seemed to clearly communicate anything it was doing.

I suppose to prevent people from server hopping to boost their friends but it also seemed to make actually boating with them impossible.

The way they describe this new mode as solo or "with a crew of friends" I imagine it'll still be a kind of one boat only game.

It's not something I have much experience with but it's like calling somebody by a nickname.

You just ask them to stop but it's a free country. If they don't it's typically a good indicator for their general ability to listen.

Personally I don't really enjoy multiplayer games much because they are all so stale nowadays.

I guess I grew up with dedicated servers, map editors, and mods coming out all the time but most of the modern ones are so fixed on DLC and battlepasses.
