Google Keep is my white whale of self hosted apps. The vibe coding aspect gives me pause as I have been burned before but it is too promising to turn down so I'll give it a shot!
We all are, but it's going to be a long time and my concern is that it won't be soon enough. It was convenient that Windows finally crossed the enshittification Rubicon just as Linux was ready for mainstream adoption. But mobile Linux is far, far, behind anything else. Although I do think that immutability and flatpaks are a good foundation.
I just want to say I transitioned over to Dockhand and I'm glad I did! Thanks again for the recommendation!
True but the whole point of Lemmy is that you choose your moderation experience.
"Lemmy" can be terrible because everyone who was IP banned from Reddit made a Lemmy account and a raw unmoderated Lemmy feed is truly insufferable on a level Reddit never came close to.
There are good instances out there with good mods so I recommend suggesting one of those. I'm not going to suggest any here because you're already on Lemmy and the whole point is to find one that suits your style, not mine.
I could be imagining, but in the movie they actually left a hint implying she did which I thought was neat.
The article said they were existing publications that had a regular readership before they were replaced with slop
The book addressed that area of thought much more in detail, but for starters the problem was more directly observable and promised near total extinction within a single lifetime.
Secondly, humanity didn't come together in a kumbaya moment, many had to be forced to comply. The woman in charge of Hail Mary project was a monster who nuked antarctica and was sent to prison when it was all over.
I'm glad to see you calling out that episode, as I was really confused by it when I was younger too. Al Gore wasn't in hysterics he was giving a boring power point presentation about a complicated topic. It just never sat right that they would make him out to be some kind of crackpot.
This is depressing, thankfully I have never even heard of any of their listed publications.

If your instance has rules against LLM content just report the domains to your admin and they can blacklist them (alternatively, if the content is coming from a federated instance they can blacklist instances that allow slop).
