Why would play sessions even matter? It would save them bandwidth. All they care about is money. If anything you should download and delete your entire library a thousand times.

He could have started an instance and moderated it as he saw fit but no, he wanted to underhandedly silence hundreds and thought people would thank him for it.
He also could have just blocked people, communities, and instances he didn't like on his own account..
