Had a service release this week... Europe was thinking the service behaved one way. 2 American teams thinking the service behaved another completely disparate way, ANDDD a New Zealand frontend team that we work with, crossing their fingers and toes, hopping to the nine hells that our service worked as we designed it because that's what they were building for.... ... ... ... We are releasing on Monday. Which is 200% better than i feared but we were aiming for today and im still a little salty about it.

The llm found the file that was encrypted with an older password that the guy could remember. The llm didnt decrypt anything or find a vulnrability, it just found an older fill the guy could unlock and he gained access to his bitcoin wallet that way.
They are realy cool. It is important to note that they are almost garanteed to be a composit i.e the sky is from a different photo than the mountains in the foreground, and probably Queenstown in the background is probably its own photo aswell.
Some people say thats cheating, others say its fine if they were all taken in the same place. Im not saying either way, i am more on the side of "as long as it was all taken from the same location im fine with layering" but i do know people who take the stance of "if you are layering then its already fake and i dont like it. Why not add a dragon and Mikey mouse for effect". You are never going to get the sky like the picture in the same shot as the mountains or even Queenstown because both are throwing off too much light to get an impresive starfield.

But how the slicer connects to their propriatry cloud service is under the AGPL. That is the part that has been copied.
Due to the original Slic3r software being AGPL and Bambu studio being a copy of Slic3r it is also under the AGPL.
So Jarczak has only copied code that is under the AGPL. As mentioned in the article, the only bit of security bambu had was a name in the commands sent saying that the command came from Bambu Studio, it wasent encrypted, it wasent locked down it is right there in the code.
Now, Bambu could change their security to have a proper auth handshake with the cloud services, that would lock this method off because it wouldnt matter if the code is out in the open for all to see, you would still need to log in. But Bambu didnt do this, they just tried to legally gag someone instead.
That is why people are up in arms.
