It's cute that you think actual military workers got some of this surf & turf splurge. It was only for the suits on the very top - barely military.

I traveled to California from Europe this last July. The amount of information you have to give is absurd, and then the security at the airport didn't check shit. Security guy even asked for my fingerprints, but then looked at the length of the line and just let me through without giving any.

This game is already worth every cent in its current state. Can't wait to see what the last polish will bring.

Still can't bike over a speedbump without these fuckers popping out of my ears. I'd rather use my big-ass Sennheiser headphones to escape that anxiety.

Just imagine the speed that firetrucks will be able to weave through cities when there are no stupid fucking cars. On top of the improved air quality, this will save countless lives.

I really hope that Villeneuve will get the chance to turn all the books into movies. He gets the vibe of Dune, and the last two books would make for some epic films on the big screen. But to get those made, Villeneuve would first have to do the impossible and somehow turn God Emperor into a movie that wouldn't tank the franchise.

I think every country has people with a personality-vacuum that they've filled with a job. But in my anecdotal, personal experience, Americans tend to do it far more often (they also work WAY more).

I agree with this. They are two entirely different kinds of books, but anything pales in comparison to the Dune series.
