Burlington should've been the capital.

On the plus side, Palm Beach sinks and so does Mar-A-Lago.

My pick is Des Moines, currently living here. Like, there's almost nothing worthwhile to see and there are pathetically few skyscrapers. I live in an area where I can get a good picture view of all of the buildings within sight.

And all I can feel is "...there should be more". The buildings themselves aren't even that interesting. Des Moines tries to make itself feel big and comparative to other cities, but it just cannot do that.

My other pick is Montpelier in VT, where I have also lived. Everything feels too damn clustered. the neighborhoods are on steep ass hills with awkward traffic markings. There's almost zero reason to really do anything there and it can easily be missed. Like, you can drive from Barre and through Montpelier before you know you're on the highway out of Montpelier.

Bonus points if they're the kind of sunglasses with the polarized shades.

Same. I'm the kind that feels they need a back up of somethings. But I don't need like...10 of them.

I don't know. Bannings become a silly concept when there are moderators who're as fragile as sugar glass. It almost blurs the line between "Is this breaking any rules" or "Is this just simply hurting my feelings".

Reddit is filled to the brim with moderators that just ban under arbitrary reasons. Lemmy is unfortunately becoming up there.

Admitting you don't know everything is smart.

Continuing to still think you do know everything when you don't is when you're dumb by default.

No. And we're going to have even more tech-illiterate old buffoons in offices where they'll understand even less technology but they're great at destroying things. So, they'll happily line the pockets of ComCast, AT&T, Verizon and they'll do fuck all to improve customer experience. In fact, if things go their way, they'll bring back the idea of forcing you to choose whether you want to pay premium for high speed internet including the ridiculous limits already in place. That or they'll give you the slow-lane subscription while talking down to you about having to pay so little to get so little and their data caps is even more restrictive, never mind how little you'll be able to actually do on the slow lane.

Isn't it wonderful?! /s

They'll kiss Trump's ass in time, this is just a false alarm.

My poo tells me that it's there and that my liver and bodily functions are working. That's all.

I prefer TPB AFK. Since all founders were involved in that one. Why make a TV show based on TPB?

I'm staying on Windows 10 until Microsoft somehow pulls it's head out of it's ass with Windows 11. It'll take things like Steam completely dropping support of Windows 10, which will honestly happen one day because Valve slapped all of the faces of those when they promised that they would keep Steam running for old Windows down to XP. It'll take them dropping support entirely for me to consider Windows 11 and even by that point, I'll just go Linux fully.

The thing is - we shouldn't have had to do that. Maybe alternatively, but not primarily.

Microsoft's problem with Windows 8, was how they got a hair up their ass by being obsessed with mobile technology. Tablets and Phones specifically. That they decided in their 'infinite wisdom', to infect desktops with a theme and performance that honestly was more suited for mobile devices.

U.S. District Judge Stephen McGlynn is holding off on enforcing his ruling for 30 days to allow Illinois leaders time to appeal.

Sen. Jacky Rosen's projected victory over Republican challenger Sam Brown in Nevada marks a key win for Democrats.

So, do any pirates here have a grasp in what this asshole feels towards piracy in general? Should we be worried? I'm worried he'll install an FCC that'll work against internet rights, that's one concern.

I'd like to hear what thoughts you have.

I just ask incase someone has something enlightening to say. Is there going to be any level of sanity left, anywhere, while the government is going to be the nightmare circus that it'll be in within these next 4 years?
