Small ones are actually often better than big ones. I have a love hate relationship with cloudflare, they contribute to internet centralization but it IPv6 enables so many sites transparently and they only let you turn it off if you're an enterprise customer. So some guy using free cloudflare has IPv6 but not discord, ironic. That being said I have NAT64+DNS64 which lets me access the remaining legacy v4 services without having v4 on my network or devices. Although according to my firewall stats over 90% of my traffic is v6 native, the remainder is NAT64. Honestly the only services I use on a regular basis which don't work if I disable NAT64, discord, steam, and my bank. Everything else I use is v6 native, YT, Crunchyroll, lemmy (this instance), even steam downloads (just not login ironically).

Oh god, as if I wasn't scared enough about running a filesystem that got kicked out of mainline and is maintained more or less by a single dude. I'll stick to btrfs thanks

I have a friend who won't leave windows because of League...in fact when we work on projects together I often have symlinks in my repo and he won't even turn on developer mode to deal with them because it means if he wants to play league he has to restart his computer since it breaks the anti-cheat...so I have to make sure to desymlinkify any repo I expect him to clone...it's cursed how much of a hold a stupid game can have.

What am I missing? This seems to be for VFS for git which as far as I can tell is different from git LFS.

Yeah I agree here. I'd expect my laptop to stay asleep if it was asleep to begin with. Also I find it kind of annoying that in order to fix bugs they have to change Linux to mimic windows, especially when it's a situation like this where the change specifically results in a different behavior which is noticable to users.

It's funny because you can tell whoever wrote this has never run that command. You need to either put --no-preserve-root OR /*. Using /* obviates the need for the flag --no-preserve-root.
