The idea of needing a passport in order to vote was unworkable when most Americans don’t even have a passport. We Americans are not well travelled, unfortunately.

A majority of Republican voters don’t have a photo “proof of citizenship.” A drivers license doesn’t work. So, Trump is destroying his own party.

Republicans should have a larger philosophical problem with this surveillance law. But they are not very consistent on their so-called values.
