If we lie about history we will be doomed to repeat it. We had a democracy and fascists took it. Organize to take it back. Tell people the truth so they don't repeat the mistakes that got us here.

America was a democracy, but we had late-stage capitalism that was terminal. Neoliberalism was the scam that conned generations of Americans into clinging to flawed political institutions and capitalism long after they had demonstrated themselves to be ineffective.

Neoliberalism was so deeply rooted in the minds of the American people that they rejected socialism, the means of their liberation, without learning what it was and allowed fascism to flourish in their minds instead.

But we aren't all dead yet. So as long as people are still alive we can organize against fascism. It may even be possible to take our democracy back. A good place to start is to tell people how great socialism and democracy are.

The fascists will kill you for voting for their opposition sure. They were going to kill their political and ideological opponents regardless. They know they need to remove socialists and progressives so the country they takeover has no alternative to them. They aren't going to spare a member of an out group because that person voted for them.

Nationalism is just a mechanism to justify racism to the fascist. Not all racists are fascists, but all fascists are racists.

340 - (74 million children + 70 million Trump voters + 68 million Harris Voters) = 128 million nonvoters, some of who are probably not eligible for one reason or another, so a conservative estimate of 100 million nonvoters

Regardless the worst case estimate from 2018 is 11 million people in the US are fascists. That's a good ball park number to work with anyway. The nonvoters outnumber the fascists almost ten to one.

Dictators do love revising history to entrench their rule.

A burning building doesn't get put out by watching it burn. And the fire can in fact spread to the next building. Things can always get worse because there is no bottom. Things will only get better by making them better.

The accelerationists got what they wanted. And everyone, including them, are worse off for it. We've gone from not utilizing the limited time window, to avert the worst of climate change, to choosing to use that time to pollute as much as possible. We may in fact succeed in reaching 5°C before 2100.

Always remember that we had a democracy. Fascists took it from us by leveraging the flaws in our institutions to take power.

The people who lie about our history do not value democracy, our freedoms, or us.

It's hard to understate how fucking awful the accelerationism was this last year.

They are unlikely to be happy with being murdered by fascists in death camps.

There's no sense in lashing out at nonvoters. We need to organize in order to make a difference.
