theres no button for it atm. you get auto logged out after awhile though. For disabling it while logged in theres the toggle in settings

theres a bunch of other stuff that has been appearing. those two went up quickest though but they aren't a majority of the canvas (there are animals by some other groups like the Germany ones above p.d but they aren't furries)

I can add it to gitlab to track it for next year

Theres a flag area in the d2jam design you could add it into (different flags are going into hearts). Im going to rearrange it a bit so the hearts might move position a bit in the template though

if you mention a lemmy community in your post the post gets sent to show up in the lemmy community. Comments are automatically federated if you comment on a lemmy post.

lemmy posts are all federated to mastodon though if the servers know about each other

The playlist is just links to the videos atm (apart from metadata but to listen to the actual song people have to go to the video)

I've got it in another post in the community. It's mostly just links to youtube apart from ours which isn't on there

Yeah that part of option 4 was mostly meant for stuff like "here is a hotkey for how to do X in X" that I would equate to help posts. I can remove it though to make it a bit more clear

Also btw you double replied

The thing with having that as the rule is it can create some inconsistency in the eyes of someone posting. If theres communities for c and nim, and c posts start spamming the programming community so its split off. C posters will basically just be relegated to their own corner while they see occasional nim posts popping up in the main community

Theres also the factor of if the community is built up with specific topics other conversation points wont have a chance to take hold

We get the advantage in the instance of every community being basically on topic so if someone wants to see all of the topics (including the smaller ones) they can just browse the local posts. And that seems to be one of the most common sorts people are using here

Fediverse Game Jam (programming.dev)

Hello everyone! The idea of a game jam got thrown out in one of the threads in the godot community and I wanted to throw out the question here to gauge how many people would be interested in having one run!

If so, some things that would need to be determined are when to run it and for how long should it running for. In addition there was the idea of having it be about making tutorial projects to show off what game engines can do and how to do things in them (referring to Godot but can be generalized to all of them). Or we can instead just run a standard game jam and possibly have that as an optional diversifier if people want

For those who don't know what a game jam is its an event where you make a game in a small period of time (2 days, 3 days, 2 weeks, etc. depending on the jam)

Feel free to comment below to give some input on how the jam should be run if you're interested or upvote to show interest in the idea! If enough people are ill set up a jam page

Yeah we can start getting some more learning material in here. I'm probably going to do a post to compile a bunch of resources and then there can be something like Welcoming Wednesday where theres a thread and posts to help onboard people onto Godot
