on one hand I agree. on the other, google has historically been afraid of the verb to google becoming generic, so of course I'd like to see that happen.

I think the middle ground is say google it, but make it clear you mean google it on an alternative search engine

Yeah no, it's only marginally better. All my information comes from 3d printing, which is even worse since there's no way to recycle it since no recycling symbol. More accessible industrial composting would help though

fwiw it is possible to get games from all the other stores. the only restriction is it has to be runnable on linux, which really isn't that big of a deal anymore with the current state of proton. it is a bit more work than games from steam tho

haven't had discord or screen locking issues and I have plenty of monitors. haven't run into any game issues either, but I do preemptively run older stuff in gamescope which tends to avoid a lot of issues

not on mobile, they generally use the native browser engine. at the very least it's not electron on ios/android

They've had a good native linux build for the first one, and it was one of the first games in my library to have vulkan support. I'd be surprised if it didn't have really good linux support
