That's the same logic like "there's no point in gun control, people can use knives". People don't like to be recorded without their knowledge and consent, whether you use smart glasses or other cameras.
Yes, people use these smart glasses for stuff that's not creepy and invading people's privacy - I've seen people use them for recipe videos and such. Cool. You can also achieve the same with other cameras. That's really not an argument to normalise them in public or private settings involving other people who haven't consented to it.
I'll do you one better, they shouldn't be allowed anywhere without prior acknowledgement and consent
yeah, that's fair. I can't tell just by looking at the graphics and then I just feel anxious (especially in situations like when I need to be reachable or when navigating around a city). I understand everyone's brain is different
Well, the Jeff Geerling stuff is disappointing. I watched him only occasionally when some video title interested me, but I don't think I can watch the videos (and so indirectly support him) in good conscience.
The fact he didn't apologise is telling, especially in the context of his replies:

The idea of one-upping someone online, ratioing someone's post, or getting quick wins through rage-bait is antithetical to what builds a just, loving, and charitable society. I see it tear apart many online communities. The only winning move is not to play.

Ugh, I don't understand why it usually defaults to no number. Then I have to go and change the setting, show me numbers - I actually want to know how much battery I've got left... I don't understand why would anyone want it off, but to each their own.

I don't know specifics about pictures about video, but considering I get data protection notice just so they can process my basic information when dealing with NHS, I imagine this is an offence that could make the doctor easy to sue over this.
